It used to scale with monster health, so if you think the idea is bad just imagine it also being the only spell in the game that gets more powerful when players join the game and necros wrecking players 8 like it’s players 1.
It’s probably the best mob clearing ability in the game. What’s the problem ? Other then maybe broken hammerdins I see no issue with Corpse explosion
The bigger problem isn’t the Necro version of the spell, it’s Nilhathak’s version. You know, the one he can cast from over three full screens away that can instagib you before you can even react.
That’s what a well geared necro is doing, just use a Nature’s Peace and Nil will be useless.
Doesn’t help when you aren’t a necro. 
I swear he hits me with this when there are no bodies anywhere near me. Maybe the range is just that insane.

Yes CE just carried me through the the first 4 waves of hell Baal solo on my brand new summon Necro level 68, wave 5 took forever as did Baal without CE
Skeletons are some tough SOBs though especially when you give them life tap they just live forever
maybe you should smoke another one and use the spell? it’s highly entertaining.
As a new summon necromancer. How do you give your skeletons life tap? Do they inherit your gear or merc gear bonuses? Certain ones or all of them?
I’ve always liked the slow careful progress you need to make towards Nilhathak - Don’t tread on the dead…
Nhilatak is a cheater.
Despite of having snakes on his floor which have buggy poison clouds, he also can make his fallen minions explode xD
