Copy on PC and copy on console

Hey guys, was gifted a console copy of d2r, and was curious on how it works.

I already have the game on PC and was thinking of buying a second account, if I keep this console copy, could that be used as a second account on my pc? or would I just be able to link it to my bnet and it all count as the same account?

This option here. Your console software lets you play the same account on your console as you play on PC. So, whatever progress you make will be available on both.

I think this is the link to walk you through the process.

Also be aware that there can be issues

Read through both so you are able to avoid problems.

When you link to the battle net account, it’s the same 20 characters on each platform hooked to the same battle net account.

I got 2 accounts on PC and got me, myself, and I on three switches… he he.

So, for 5 accounts, I got only 60 character slots instead of 100 character slots… oh well…

Hey cheetah, appreciate the info. I do know cross progression works for console/pc. I guess what I am wondering is, if i had 2 pc copies, i could multibox. If i have a pc and console, could i multibox that console account on my pc.

No, you can’t do that. There is no cross play, just cross progression. Console can only play with console and PC can only play with PC. You can’t play both together in one game at the same time.

Ah okay, very unfortunate. I assume if I had a second bnet that I linked to ps5 and d2r, I would need another d2r copy on that bnet account to play right?

I THINK you can make a new Bnet account and link your new console to it and that would be that. You can play it on Console. You would only need a second PC license

You don’t need a new PC license to play the console version.

Maybe I am not understanding what you are asking though. I don’t play console so that does not make me the best at answering these things.

You answered it just fine no worries, basically comes down to, if i want to multibox on pc i HAVE to have a second pc copy.
