good, then the system is working as intended.
no one is forcing you to play ssf.
the game was developed with the possibility to trade for a reason.

Correct, and why D3 doesnt have trading because all you need to do is sneeze and you find all the elite items…
AAAAAACHOOOOO!!!
looks in handkerchief
Ooo, a primal booger! +1 to mucous. +2 to sharp edges. +3 to tickletickle
This will be a generalized comment but trading itself is the issue. Either they aren’t using what’s available, which I don’t blame them…or the in game isn’t adequate for the trade itself.
Game would be improved dramatically in that regard if the lobby was more robust.
I barely play right now but within 2 weeks I can be setup, not finished but geared to find everything else I need.
If the items rained down I would be done within those 2 weeks or worse like D3 bored after a few days.
People just don’t trade properly. They don’t trade bases. I can spend a whole day just selling bases and work my way up to a high rune.
You aren’t supposed to find everything yourself.
If the game only had a proper in-game trading platform…
I am in full agreement, but you cannot use this as a crutch, not saying you are, but alot do… If you dont want to trade with the inefficient lobby, or use FG and the “evil JSP” as its referred to, then there are countless other options like traderie, d2io, ect.
You can find a trade, so saying anything other, is not an instance of “cant” its, “dont want to”

Agreed. I am pretty well geared, but I am missing a bunch of items and the hunt for them is both invigorating, and depressing lol. But as soon as it drops, I will feel so rewarded again and love the game an I enjoy that feeling.
Tals armor for instance, I traded for it the first 2 sorcs of D2R, didnt feel good about it, I decided to find one this season, and it took hours, but when it dropped, I jumped out of my chair, scared the dog, my GF face palmed as Im 35 and surely there are other things I should be that excited for… but it was worth it.
Other players may go, I have 5 of them already noob. What took you so long?
Its RNG. That player may not have a soj for all of D2R and I have dropped 2.
The beauty of D2, is that every single player experiences it differently. You experience it differently in either major ways, or minimal ways based on how you decide to play, but every playthrough can be and i, different.
Some love it, some hate it, some dont notice it. But its true, and its magical, and it should never be changed to every other game out there.
Bingo. Well summed up.
Been running with my throw/hork barb the past couple of nights. He’s a beast. Been finding uniques and sets as well, all of them have been garbage so far. Got Alibaba/Gull on switch for horking.
Using my Sorc, I vendored a couple of cruel throwing spears with additional damage from Anya in Hell. Running Razortail belt, he slaughters monsters when they’re lined up. He’s currently in A5 NM plowing through everything… Has a bit of trouble with bosses, but they are easy enough to handle with time. As soon as I work some crushing blow into the build, bosses should go down quicker. Pretty much what I envision the Strafe bowazon being if her chance to hit wasn’t crippled due to the attack rating bug.
It’s so nice not having to go back to repair every ~2 minutes! Hork hork hork! Loving it.
I got the barb up and running as well, took awhile, was painful to get up to solo Trav level, but worth it, I havnt made a barb in years, so im enjoying now.
Unbending Will is a terrific mid/late game RW. This is my fav add to whenever it was, 2.4 2.5? Ill be using this until I drop a Lo for Grief, and then ill keep it as the other hand for some double swing fun.
I dont think I could ever do a thrower, but maybe I should try it.
If it does, I haven’t hit it yet. And I have half the freaking forum on “the list.”
I’d definitely recommend a throwbarb for leveling up and at least getting up to Hell difficulty, then respec to whatever. He’s an efficient monster plow!
A Cruel throwing spear has a level req of 43. Shop them from Anya with a character that is already in A5 Hell.
A Cruel throwing spear of Evisceration is the bees knees, but it’s really hard to get.
Well what the hell… Next season I plan to build a barb again earlier, Ill do a thrower through Normal as far into NM as I can before going back to Frenzy
You need to try the old Diablo 2 version and you see the Drop chance is totaly different compared to the Resurrected Version. Just try and found an Amulett with high resistens and an other stat , you will find in Ressurected every Time the same stupid low stat Amulet. But in the old version you see a complet difference you can find some good Blue items and maybe higher the Value of the stat on other drop. Other thing is , if you playing solo you have less chance to find runes , in a full party low runes drop more often. Conclusion , high runes can drop better ? Ive stoped playing D2 , reason is the unfair Drop chance , some Streamer found in the first hours 2 Vex runes and other High runes and me was farming month and nothing high rune`s was droped. Dont know what Blizzard think , its for makeing the Community doing Trades or for makeing the Forum full of QQ Post reason of this stuipid drop RNG but it isnt RNG
Definitely, thrower is best barb starter now and is doing fine up to end of NM. Hell starts to be tough but its about smart usage of gamble/craft and little bit of luck. Grim ward is especialy amazing with thrower.
No, only change is in terror zones. Normal drops are same as in old d2.
Anecdotal statements like yours prove nothing. He’s considering challenging content by D2 standards. We have multiple threads of people complaining, and many more have quit playing the game, unlikely to return. D2 loot is unrewarding. It could be made rewarding, but that would require opening the wings and letting people find stuff.
LOL. i’ve found Jah + ohm in ONE GAME. ONE GAME. RNG is RNG. the don’t find any for three days.
the drops chances haven’t changed in d2:r. that’s absolute nonsense talk.
another notable and fun rune drop i had was vex + ist at the exact same time in durance three.
lol cg thats amazing. Where they dropped?
I agree drop rates are great!
I wouldn’t say broken, D2 has always been that miserable concerning luck or unluck.
i.e.: today I got the worst rolls I ever seen on a Bramble, considering that in my case weeks are required to make that runeword, I would say that the RNG system is total BS.
or
i.e.: I can’t get a 4 socket GM +3, I lost the count of GM+3 I destroyed in the cube trying to get one, this scenario last since months.
Tbh, right now I’m taking a break, because I feel like I play in a game designed for bottters… maybe I’ll come back, maybe not as D4 is getting closer.
D2 is both, miserable and great
Because your understanding of drops is incorrect completely.
You made it to 99 with only that many GG items. If you had more, there’d be no threats left. It’s not fun if you’re immortal.
Then in your 20 years of playing this game, you do not play very much when you do. I found a way to farm with a 2nd player, and drop an average of 4 high runes a day sometimes less, sometimes more. Stop reading guides. Nobody gives away the real secrets. You’ve been sent in circles on purpose.
I SSF’d 4 of them in season 1 on stream, and I don’t even use them.
You are grinding wrong, or in extremely uncreative and non-beneficial ways that 99% of the playerbase also thinks is the best way. Again, take a step back, throw everything you know about the game and the drop rates out, and start thinking about how to kill more efficiently in higher player games, and you’ll do better. And I don’t mean text book efficiently. I mean kill like 8 times faster than you already do with your 5 gg items (because it’s possible, you just haven’t REALLY thought about it yet).
I promise you, you’re letting your 20 years of experience and farming guides go to your head and cloud the truth. It’s one of those things that once you see it, you can’t unsee it.
