Personal loot is garbage which should never be added to this game. Auto-loot is garbage which should never have been added to this game. It’s fine if it’s console only because there is no cross-play. Plugging a controller into PC for auto-loot is not fine. Doesn’t surprise me that a personal loot advocate can’t understand.
You’re not wrong, but auto-looting on PC should be forbidden.

There’s a system called personal loot that’s been fleshed out and perfected over the last 20 years. Grim dawn does this almost flawlessly and so does border lands 3 among many other games in this genre. D2 being upgraded wouldn’t be the end of the world since this change would encourage groups and pugs. To put it in perspective the last time this game had a patch was in 2016 so yes the game’s always been getting changes and even in this resurrected version got plenty of changes. Ploot itself could be toggled so you can choose FFA or Ploot just like in Grim dawn (a game that’s superior to D2).

Public games aren’t for loot remember? That’s what you and everyone else kept telling people. Play solo or with friends if you want loot.

The way D2 is supposed to work isnt possible with controller vacuum loot on PC, you pack of Fallen. We protest against this just like we’d protest against pickit. Tempering expectations for loot in public games is not at all the same as being ok with FFA being impossible, giant mosquitos.

k&m for d2r except testing gamepads the first day when i couldn’t get online to see which ones work since i didnt want to play sp for real.
basically just tested if i could connect my xbox one with the pc dongle, ds4 with the playstation remote dongle and my dualsense with the game for a couple minutes each in single player on day one to check if they worked and see how they felt but all i did was den of evil 3 times.
The irony here is it’s the same thing. Unequal loot is unequal loot. Part of my advocation for a non-FFA system is so casters have a change to get loot instead of melee getting it all in a player-8 game.

The crazy part is, we are NOT even demanding Ploot ONLY.
We just want it as an option. Those who like FFA can play FFA.
The most hilarious comment was from an Anti-Plooter that said I am being authoritian for forcing players to have option of Ploot…“insert eyes roll emoti”
As rediculous are the anti rune/gem stackers & stash expansion saying managing stash is part of gameplay. So I asked one of them a simple question. Do you use mule?

Oh but it is the same, because using a controller is an official option and isn’t a script, so it isn’t cheating. Cry more. I’m loving these tears from you people. Why don’t you take your own advice and don’t worry about loot in public games, because they aren’t for loot hunting and are for XP exclusively. That’s what you clown shoes told everyone else, so now you get to be on the other side.
This is not a discussion about ploot and how terrible it would be for this game. This is a post about console player handicaps being accessed on PC where they do not belong. All auto-loot code needs to be stripped from the PC build.
This topic is making me want to pause playing my Bone Necro for a bit and play my paladin on a controller just to see what it is like.
