Okay people, I’m tired of hearing people complaining about controller. It plays well, I it like as someone who is impaired, but its really just and ease of access, and I shall prove it once and for all.
1st the inventory space is minimal, especially when you geared in hell.

2nd the input is red, it doesn’t make my character auto run to it.

3rd, I still to move on top of it in order to loot. Clicking makes your character auto run to it. I know I played Diablo 2 a lot before I lose my fingers. And that is only when the looting input is possible.

And here is mouse, able to commend a loot from anywhere. Which command the character to just auto run for pick up.

I think they’re talking about melee chars, or ranged chars that hug the bosses just before they die so they can pick their stuff up. Plus, there is an ability called Telekinesis (from sorceresses, or you can buy a staff with Telekinesis charges if you’re not a sorc) that will allow you to take everything at lightspeed even at ranged just by spamming the button (it auto-targets anything clickable)… Also, didn’t you notice that with a controller, you can pick up loot even before it drops to the ground - something that can’t be done with a mouse? Combine all of this, and controllers are definitely “instant pick / pickit”. The devs need to address this FFA debacle, public games suck.
EDIT: I’m wrong about Telekinesis above. I thought it pickup up loot but it only picks up gold and potions (thanks to WarReaver for the correction).

Nope, it always have to touch the ground. Probably a micro second, but as someone who used to play mouse and keyboard, I can confirm I did catch catch items while they were flying off by spam clicking.
Public games are usually for EXP. You might grab something but you should not go there hoping for something, most farming is done solo.
This is why most people rolled Sorc, but I have quite a lot of enjoyment just doing varied farm. Cow is the best I can do effectively but it gets tiring just doing it over and over.
So to be honest going in pubbies and hoping to come out of it wealthier, is a mistake. People complained for the same things 20 years ago, and now do again. It’s not really going to change, people like to be vultures.

The only thing you can pick up with telekinesis is gold and potions. It hasn’t been able to pick up loot in a long time.
My bad then, I never use it so I thought it did. My other points still stand though.
Controller has AoE loot. Stated fact. Ban Controller Support!!!

It doesn’t. You should play it before saying false stuff.
Pubs kinda are about xp more than they are loot.
It’s a very long standing consensus. You get a chance at some loot and guaranteed better xp.
Priv up for guaranteed loot and slow xp.
Solo in a pub for possibly better guaranteed loot.
No one is gonna complain that there’s an xp boost while you’re doing you’re own thing.
I cant speak to this controller “pickit” kerfuffle cause I just start soloing after norm. I don’t have the trust in people to not PK anyone at anytime in HC

I don’t think we should deny that the controller casuals are enjoying considerable privilege over the more honest keyboard and mouse players wanting the full D2 experience. I’m not calling for any drastic changes, but lets not pretend here: using controller on pc seems fairly reprehensible to me.
Alright I’ll be rude. But people on these games are crazy, controller either “sucks” but when its there “oh controller op” Can you stop wearing your silly tin foil and make up your dam mind?! … It’s not op. But whatever I give up on reasoning with this community.
may I ask you Pulptenks, does your controller have a auto button, or turbo button feature that spams a button a ton of times when you just hold it down?
I am not trying to be rude, I am genuinely curious because I have tried this myself many times. Everytime I do it, the loot doesnt even barely show up and I get all of it. Even the bad items.
My reason for asking is if you have not yet tried this I encourage you too, and perhaps that will give you a better understanding of why there are people frustrated at this.

Nope just a regular PS4 controller.
I for one do not wish controllers to be taken away. I also dont have a solution that would help. The only thing I can think of is a obvious one… let PC users have a keybind that does the same thing the controller does?
I was surprised how well a controller felt (sadly not with doors) but otherwise it really is nice to sit back and play this game in a comfier chair rather then at a pc desk hunched over the keyboard.

Well the reason I play controller is due to lacking pinky and ring finger in the left hand which makes keyboard really hard to to play. I could use a MMO mouse but I was born lefty so my right hand kind of sucks.
