(Not sure if this is the right area to post this, so I’m sorry in advance if it’s not).
Problem: While using a controller, picking up items could be improved.
Currently, you have to move your character towards the item you want and pick it up. This isn’t a problem when there’s a couple items. However, this is a problem when there are 20+ items on the ground. It’s especially a problem since the item and the text for the item aren’t always next to one another. Other ARPGs have solved this by allowing the player to move their right thumb stick to highlight each individual item, selecting that item with A (action button), then having the character run towards the item to pick it up.
I would love to see this feature implemented in a future patch for PC and console. But I’m curious to know what other people think. How would you guys like to improve picking up items?
Here’s a post that deals with players frustrations playing on console So.. consol ever gonna be playable or basically abandoned? . Luckily recent updates have dealt with some of these issues, but having a mouse cursor while playing with controller or being able to play with mouse and keyboard are things still on the wishlist from the community.
In the original version you controlled everything with the mouse cursor, you could aim ranged attacks, pick exactly where to teleport/jump to, hover over items to see what they are(so you know if it was something you wanted to bother to walk over to get), when looking at the map you can move it around to be able to see everything, and it was also how your character moved (click a spot on the ground and they move directly to that spot). Now having a joystick to be able to move is nice, but every other function the mouse cursor served was extremely useful. They need to add the option to choose between auto targeting or have the mouse cursor on screen controlled by the right stick.
It would be nice to enjoy this game
