Console NEEDS some changes

Long time vet with literal thousands of hours play time. Playing on XSX. Just completed A5, maybe about 8 hours play time. May update this as time goes on.

Firstly the small

Make default player count for game search 8, not 4.

Make the monster name/life bar brighter, it’s too dark, can never tell where a bosses HP is.

Sometimes auto belt populate bugs out and just highlights a single potion for you to manually place.

Added 9/30:

Please add the small in game clock to console…

Make it so holding LB/L1/L and clicking buy potions will fill your your belt, same goes for filling tomes. Spam clicking is tedious.

When you hold auto sort (typically for your stash), make it so like gems and like runes sort next to each other.

Secondly, the medium:
Allow us a toggle option so that when we press start, we can still see our character and loot the ground while the inventory is open. It is incredibly cumbersome having loot drop, pressing start, moving potions or charms into the cube, looting the item, going to town, Id’ing and dealing with the item, moving the charms/pots back out one by one to our inventory, and then repeating.

–another related thing, the inventory auto organizer stinks. It puts stuff in the weirdest places and for some reason wants to move stuff all across the top. My suggestion is make a static item lock button combination, or find a better formula for the organizaton.

Lastly, the big:

We need lobbies, we need in game text. Honestly I just think straight up keyboard and mouse support should be optional, since there are nice lapboards out there for consoles.

But, at the very, very least, give us lobbies and text chat. I’ll buy a damn controller keyboard or use my phone if needed.

I don’t want to sound critical, but I cannot put it any other way…it feels sad. I searched Baal games for a literal 10 minutes and only found 2 games with one person. Ended up making my own and waiting. After about three minutes, three people joined.

People are just playing solo or private with big groups because it’s not worth the hassle, and also because you cannot communicate. D2 is such a social game. No one wants the commitment or annoyance of only voice chat. It’s convenient with friends, not strangers.

Many seasoned players can tell you about the times just randomly chatting during runs, PVP, etc. You’ve taken the very vital social aspect away by not allowing this.

Not to mention trading organically in game without a third party source is gonna be damn near impossible.

Please consider this greatly, honestly the game isn’t worth full price on consoles imo because this greatly cripples the camaraderie and economy.

Honestly no excuse for charging us full price for this game as it currently stands. This is not even close to the “original diablo 2 experience” that we were promised. It’s like playing a crappy mobile version at this point.

The 2 big issues really hurt this game ATM. Feels like a ghost town online. And when you do find people it’s so hard to communicate the game becomes so frustrating at times.

I’d like to see people in business try and consummate a deal using only emotes.

Its not “so hard,” its utterly impossible.

With a bit of Deuterium with the production of -electron you can achieve fusion in a vacuum space. Deuterium is expensive so don’t use a chamber which is too large.

I agree with everything that OP said. We need game names, we need text chat. I don’t need to say much, but I can’t even say TP please. I can only exclaim that I have to tp. Silent play sucks!

The “invisible “ hp bar is a must. I can’t see boss life or any other minion life. Also originally we always had the boss hp bar in the top side and it was really big and clear to see…

Now I get why there wasn’t a demo available prior to launch on Switch. No one would have bought the game with the current state of multi-player.

Glad I’m not the only one who can’t see enemy health bars… thought I was just getting old :joy:

Trzeba zrobić strajk niech blizz wie że nie ma żartów niech gra umze może to im da do zrozumienia niech każdy np w weekend przestanie grać i zobaczą ze coś jest nie tak

Using Whirlwind is horrible since u can’t control the distance… He just Whirls in a straight line and stops randomly.

When ur bossing or fighting a rare u can’t Whirlwind around the boss in a Tri shape like ur suppose… Instead u shoot way past him then gotta walk back.

If we cant control WW with the left analog, can we at least just have him spin while we hold the skill and stop when we let go??

PC supports using controller and respective controls and consoles (xbox and ps) can support mouse and keyboard. There is no reason not to allow keyboard and mouse on console. This would allow people to play whichever method they prefer.

Agree, excellent points.

I would add the bosses are extremely OP, maybe this was the way it was in the original game, though i don’t seem to remember it being this bad.

Do you mean in hell? Yes they can be hard first time getting there. When you gear up some you will kill them in seconds. So no nerf needed in my opinion.

I assume you mean in hell, which is always difficult starting out organically. Difficulty hasn’t been adjusted in D2R, hell isn’t meant to be easy and quick unless you’re end game geared.

Do the other consoles not keep your offhand item skills hotkeyed? When I have an item that gives another characters skills- like teleport, when I switch to the other weapon, Its unavailable.

Each time I swap weapons, if i want to use that same skill- i must remap the controls to enable it…

This is for switch
