Console is near unplayable

I tried there " Matchmaking" every day when I do runs different quests, free roam, pvp , Baal , cow I’ve yet to see a single other player anywhere.

This is not good, it’s actually very bad. Stop wasting time and resources on improving this mess and just give us a simple lobby it’s not rocket science.

We can name our character with on screen chat but can’t name a game or type to others? Shows how little they know about D2 or how the game is played. I can’t trade with others, I have to be self find 100% and how am I supposed to hit lv 99 on players 1 forever.

That’s another thing single player has no /players. They didn’t even bother adding a simple 1-8 difficulty slider in the menu. Wow… How hard was that.

You Respec yet? I want a blizzard employee to Respec their lvl 90 character on console and put every point in the way they have it. Click and hold 1-2 seconds for a single stat point. No holding it in, no +5 +10 nothing. It took me 35-45 minutes putting in 450+ vitality points last night.

Console
NEEDS: Lobby, Chat, Instant stat/skill , single player difficulty levels.

Right now this game is getting the reviews I expected and it deserves even less than 0. You forced a game that wasn’t ready and put out a laughing stock of a console port.

This is not stuff we WANT this is very basic game mechanics that made D2 what it is. Without this, the game is not worth 1$.

Sorry to hear that Blizzard haven’t facilitated for people trying to Blitz and Power Level to End Game Content 6 days after the game’s console release.

I’m sure these features will probably make their way into the game when they become relevant for the wider player base.

Good god, here you are again, same BS attitude towards others experiencing problems. You do realize there are other people on this planet that do not share your views and/or experiences, yes?

I’m with you on all fronts there no player command and I’ve tried making games and joining to no avail. Kinda sucks we on consoles get the shaft again.

Yeah, this really sucks. It plays really well on PS, but there seems to be almost no one to play with. Not letting us create and name our games or search for other games to join was a really bad way of going about this.

Forget power leveling, console players can’t play together AT ALL, or chat AT ALL. I’m in hell act 3 and I have found 5 people total, only 1 of them ever left town…during Den of Evil normal. not a single person to play with after that

The game is solo self found with a multiplayer sign hanging off it

Lobbying for lobbies!

So does working multiplayer equal facilitating for people trying to rush to the end of the game?

It just sounds like everyone else just wants to play online and create games for people to join, myself included.

I don’t understand if you’re genuinely defending the bad multiplayer or are just trolling.

Still we supposed to drag attention to console versions of diablo 2. Right now multiplayer doesn’t exists. I demand some blue post about it that they are working about it or planing do something about it. I’m a very bid fan of a Diablo. Still have all boxes and cd’s it’s a such a shame that we can’t get a simple but yet beast version of normal lobby matching… Because this criteria doesn’t work properly…

I saw a paladin joined my game yesterday. For the first time. Been playing since launch. He quickly left. It was exciting tho. I used my preset “gg”

I second the experience so far on console is absolute trash… it has been a literal ghost town of the 20 hours logged on the game so far… back when i played this there was THOUSANDS of games to join ( mind you it was on PC 20 years ago - in which i hear PC is LOADED for D2R games to play and almost a completely different experience ) why even bother release it to console with this garbage D3 style matchmaking ( or lack there of matches )

i have ran about 100 baal runs / cow runs and not a single player has joined - i have even removed level restrictions. i have had a max of 2 other players in my game, in which they never even left town and ended up leaving, its a depressing lonely game so far… i LOVE everything else they did to it but this MAJOR issue at hand.

We are in desperate need of private lobby system and chat function to find peers to play as this is so far a solo experience with 0 community on console and this is what made D2 live up to its name and we are missing this core piece…

I feel like this is a complete waste so far on console, and very disappointed they even released it this way to console.

What is bothering me almost more than the complete and utter lack of multiplayer is the absolute silence from Blizzard on the topic. There are thousands of people asking you guys the same questions, and the only update we got was from before the release telling us that you won’t be adding lobbies before launch. Well, it’s post-launch and we haven’t even heard a peep about how you’re going to fix this. These thousands upon thousands of people that are awaiting a response are paying customers. Paying customers who at a MINIMUM expected the ability to play with other people. We understood going in that you guys weren’t - to our amazement - putting in lobbies for the time being. However, Blizzard is responsible for providing a full gaming experience to their customers who paid real money for their product. We are not getting what we paid for. Please address these issues soon or I worry you will lose the faith of yoru community who has stood by Diablo 2 for over twenty years. It’d be a shame to lose that in just a few weeks of a botched launch. Communication is key, guys.

This is a complete disaster and if we don’t get any comment from Blizzard on this is the next couple of days I’m refunding my purchase. I feel like crap having given money to this incompetent corporation.

Lobbies are a core Diablo 2 experience, and I desperately hope Blizzard replaces this non-functional party finder with them on console. I don’t understand why console players are constantly left in the dust and derided. I’m considering getting a refund as well because single-playering my way to Hell over and over again does not make for any sort of enjoyable gaming experience.

They need to start owning up to some issues like the “your connection has been interrupted” bug. Locking threads and saying it’s an issue with the players connection is a joke. I’ve tried on 3 different connections with 100mb, 500mb and 1gb speeds and still can’t stay connected to a game for more than a minute or two without being disconnected. I could play fine for 1 day and then next time I go to log in, this happens. Same thing happened to my wife on ps4 now and it hasn’t gone away for her either. Something is terribly wrong and I just want Blizzard to acknowledge it and start working on a fix rather than saying it’s on the player’s end.

worst part is… there is lobbies and chat in PC… but the port to any console platform only has matchmaking garbage, not to mention 0 support for k&m… these are key things for D2 to work properly and what made it what it is from its glory days

I actually had one person join me for Diablo some reason they dropped out last night but I finally killed him solo with my necro. Hope they give us console players lobbies and play command.

I’ve also just hit a game breaking bug on the Rite of passage quest mount arreat when the ancients come to life my game crashes have yet to get it to go past that.

I could not agree more with everything that everyone has said in here.

Even with the custom lobbies, you cannot adequately talk to other players with the emote wheel. Its a joke.

The lack of chat dialogue kills the experience.
