in closed beta it was great, you could hold the button down and assign points to skills (FAST) but some “special people” accidently put to many points into a skill and whined and complained enough that forced bliz to now force EVERYONE to play like a “special person”…

Xbox requires you to have Xbox Live gold, a monthly sub, in order to access all single player features like cross platform progression. Something I was looking forward to - going to my couch and to my PC to play, hell, before I found out Switch was basically an unplayable mess (pls stop porting things to switch, looking at you Apex) I was excited to be able to take D2 everywhere and anywhere. Nope. Gotta pay monthly. Yet games like Apex Legends and Destiny 2 are F2P online WITH multiplayer.
So, I pay for gold and it turns out the online features on Xbox are basically non existent, as you’ve listed here. So for a premium upcharge, you actually get LESS.
With that said, there are so many QoL changes that need to be made. The current skill point system, the push button hold system, the drag and drop system, all of these are antiquated and do not port well to console or controllers.
The stamina feature HAS GOT TO GO. It is completely unnecessary or idk bind it to the completely unused right stick? Why am I using the stick I aim with (another console blunder) to toggle this stamina mess? PLUS now I need to manage my stam pots with the D pad AND inventory management. Holy f* All of this to WALK. Not to mention it never works as expected. Is it on? Is it off? Allow me to toggle my second spell bar rather than having to hold a trigger?
This is not a port or a console version. This is a 40$ arcade game they could have included free in Xbox Game Pass or free with a PC version purchase.
I refunded this game so fast it ripped a hole in my purse and this is my purse I don’t know youuuu

I have many friends on Switch who I normally play D3 with, but I haven’t managed to play a single game with them since we all began playing D2R. It should be easier to at least join friends without having to pick the exact Act and quest. Like a private multiplayer game as in D3.

I concur with all of this and the many other threads out there about this topic.
Don’t get me wrong, I am absolutely loving everything about this remaster EXCEPT the multiplayer aspect. They did so well in so many areas but arguably the most important one.
Honestly I’d respect Blizzard more if they came out and said they aren’t planning on implementing lobbies or changing the multiplayer functionality at all or even soon. Or that they’re looking into changes (if that’s true). At least I’d know what they’re doing. The radio silence is the worst part.

Im sorry to break it down to you guys, they act like nothing is wrong and that everything is great. Not a single word about the matchmaking issue from any blue post/blizzard. No reply on my tweeted reply as i expected.
They took the money and ran, simple as that. Its sad to see that a company in 2021 act like this and i really, really feel ripped off. 40$+20$ for game and nintendo online service totally down the drain. I just want to yell out the F word. Hell they prolly ban me for stating facts anyway.

Who mentioned power ? I haven’t played with anyone in bnet period. I want to do Baal runs, cow runs, I have 12 mules of gear to trade to no one. This is not Diablo 2.
Keyboard and mouse would fix half my problems, aiming blizzard and teleport would be great! Instead I’m stuck dropping blizzard on a single enemy that at the back of the pack and only stays in it half the duration and teleporting into the middle of crowds…
Also 100% agree with the ease of life experience in regards to a allocating stats faster than 1 per click, and the gold speed is god awful, transferring mass quantities of gold to or from the stash in increments of 100… seriously, I was going nuts after just a 100k, let alone when I need to transfer several million… I dont understand how that wasn’t a basic function considering D3 had it, though I prefer just moving the cursor to independently change values over a rolling value via up or down…

I remember this and I didn’t mind that while it was still slowish I’d take that right now in a heart beat. Good help you if you need to Respec late game. I would love to see blizzard live stream a full Respec.

Online non existing on switch and now after hours of offline progression game crashed on ancients and my character is deleted, nice joke of a game

But there is still no “lobby” in this game. You have 2 Buttons to klick and than randomized Games… You can’t even rejoin games, when you died and want to get your corpse back or want to switch characters.
And no ingame chat is not the same as “absolutly no possibility to communicate in any god given way with other players”. We are both on PS, we can’t even click on the playername in the “group”-tab to get to the profile of the others to invite them to a party…
This port is a shame for Blizz. Even the trademarket-bulletin and the language-locked global-only textchat in PoE on consoles is better than this

The Xbox party finder works great for finding other players to play with. The lobby from the original would be awesome, but until they patch that in, y’all may want to try your consoles party finder.

…Excluding giant multiplayer features of a multiplayer game- in a remake- is heresy.
I’m already losing the enthusiasm to play on console. I’ve spent the last two hours trying to do runs on my character but the Join Party feature fails to add me to games with anyone in them, or just creates one and no one ever joins. Truly sad. I didn’t buy the game to only play solo or with friends. I want to be able to reliably and consistently play with strangers if this is to be worth my time and money. I’m over it
