Connection interrupted while finally fighting dclone

Had to wait a while to finally be on time for diablo clone, he spawns (europe, ladder sc) i start fighting him. 5% in “connection interrupted” as it’s not a game i created through the lobby its lost and no dclone… thanks for the big f.u blizzard.

Well you knew the risks of not naming your own game.

Just stick around, leave your char afk in another game, he spawns so often since the soj sale changes in d2r… I have so many annis, I have to give them away…

It’s funny to me when people bash Blizzard for connection issues. In my experience, they have the most stable server platform of any other game hosting service… However, my connection is also rock solid stable.

:man_shrugging:

If someone is paying rock bottom prices for “Jimbob’s Internet Service”, maybe it’s time to switch to a better provider.

Nice assumption, i have a 1000 Mbit up&download connection.

Dclone spawned again a few games in which was a surprise as he normally takes a while, finally got my very first kill on him.

It doesn’t matter (much anymore) how fast your connection is, what matters is how stable it is.

You could have 100 gigabits/sec, but if it’s dropping 5% of the packets, it’s garbage.

Diablo 2 has always been bad at handling connections with high ping jitter and/or packet loss. One of the big symptoms is “Your connection has been interrupted.”

I had a cable connection several years ago that was on an overloaded cable to fiber junction. (Big grey box on a pole, usually has a green light on it.) I’d get packet loss all of the time, playing Diablo 2 was virtually impossible without a disco every 5-20 minutes. After about 6 months of calling and complaining, they finally split the load with another junction box, the problem went away.

were you a mosaicsin?

C/I is not typically a connection problem, its d2’s generic error for the server has an error and kicks all the clients out to try to reset everything to an expected state. the #1 contributor of these crashes was shenk bug (potentially fixed now, unsure), mosaic meteor spam, and poison vine spam.

it could also potentially happen to enough firestorms happening at once (diablo casts his, you cast 2 twice in rapid succession) or anything that just has a lot of missiles/collision detections

I can neither confirm or deny i was doing that. (Yes i was)

You will encounter another dclone
Several walks happen, basically every day there is a walk

Join this discord and you will get all the information you need to get your anni quick. I had like 10 or so after 3 days last season, rolled pretty nice ones and I didn’t even bother with dclone anymore lol
There even trusted people on this server who help you kill dclone

Arena Net, Guild Wars - no issues for years

In my case it’s Vodafone. And I have experienced a few conn issues in the past 1 1/2 years.
Far more than with Guild Wars or SW:ToR or heck, even Path of Exile.

your only option is to not spawn as many meteors. consider increasing kill speed with -fire res or crushing blow. or stop kicking and let the fire tick
