Complete game just using Normal Attack?

I’ve googled with no luck.

I’ve seen naked paladins, but has anyone ever attempted to complete this game w/ just the “normal attack” (is it possible)

I figured after 20 years someone must have tried.

The craziest thing I have ever seen someone do was the Punch Barb build Llama played.

He cleared all of hell difficulty with it.

Well, like go to the hell baal waves. He skips them all by glitching them. And I don’t mean to take anything away from the accomplishment. I in no way would be able to do what he did.

I guess it could be possible. Not sure why anybody would do it. I can eventually chop down a big tree with used printer cartridges too :stuck_out_tongue:

normal attack only would be significantly easier than punch only if it lets him use a weapon.

i’m sure it’s possible. it would just be a huggggggggeee grind. i think the challenge is actually just how much patience you have. doing it as a sorceress would probably be the easiest way and just use enchant as well as having static field and ice shield

would auras be allowed for paladin? even without static field i think a sorc would be your best bet. the downfall is i don’t think they get as much life from vit points. if you could use static field, they get huge bonus to mana for energy points. does druid shape shift count if you just use basic attack?

Well by Llama’s challenge run rules, if the challenge is “normal attack only” then normal attack should be the only source of damage. No damage auras, no proc on hit effects, no enchant, just normal attack.

Basically if it caused damage from something that was not the challenge only thing, you couldn’t do it.

For his pacifist paladin he could not attack at all and had to rely on thorns and procs to cause damage. No damage auras other than thorns. That one was… interesting.

awww and here i thought i had something of a unique build in the works, but not paladin. There is a bunch of neat reflect dmg, or cast this and that when hit by mobs gear out there and was collecting as much as I could.

Diablo 2 - PACIFIST PALADIN SPEEDRUN - YouTube I actually watched that whole run. It’s kinda funny watching everything kill themselves. Reminds me of Ozruk from wow “Break yourselves upon my body!”

i’ve skimmed a bunch of his videos but watching an entire run is just too much. interesting builds, though. it reminds me of the early 2000s when people got bored or orb sorcs and ww barbs and tried to make unconventional builds. i don’t remember any of them anymore but it was always nice to see someone in PVP games smashing everyone with some nonsense

oh my god. i haven’t seen one of those forever! when people did them right it was like a disruptive technology. they would terrorize games! haha. that’s a very unconventional build
