I assume everyone that has the quest to smash the orb will get credit, I don’t think each individual person needs to do it one at a time.
it seems likely that you will need to do all the quests though, like collect the eye, heart and brain, get the flail and craft them, and then get the quest to smash the Orb.
That’s exactly what I was referring to earlier, too. Even if only one person has to hit it, it sounds like they’re making it where everyone has to have the pieces to continue thru Durance.
Agreed. Some people will hate it, others will be like, “ok, this is how the game was designed and people have just worked around it, so they fixed it.”
I wonder if they will fix act 2 as well, so you can’t rush it if someone has the Kill Duriel quest in your party after opening the wall with the staff.
I’m taking it to mean that one player in the party has to do it in in the game, in order to be able to go into durance in that game. You can’t just have someone tp you in durance now and bypass the whole organs+flail ordeal.
If they make it any different than the staff in A2 they will be shooting themselves in the foot. I also don’t see how they would do that, every mechanic in the game grants the quest reward to everyone when one person qualifies.
Ok, so I re-watched the relevant portion of the stream.
It does not state anything regarding party play that I could discern. Devs do state that they do want players to have an experience rather than just skip it.
But if that is the argument, what’s the point in having the “experience” 3 times? And over the number of years, I’ve had that experience many times over.
I’m not necessarily against the change but it’s a weak argument to make it. Why not just come out and say it’s to stop rushers?
