Cobra Strike does not leech life

While in act 5, Cobra Strike on the Assassin fails to activate properly on multiple monsters, including but probably not limited to: Leaper variants (all of them), Rogue Variants (all of them), and Vipers. It has about a 50% success rate on the succubus variants.

SO what you are saying is that an ability designed for the sole purpose of giving survivability to a glass cannon… cannot perform its function because we are doing to MUCH damage? does that seem like a thing? I find your argument to be highly flawed, and it is far more likely there is a bug with how kicks are being processed. I did my own testing as well, and when using dragon claw vs dragon talon, dragon claw life leech worked perfectly every time, while dragon talon leech was highly inconsistent. This is not an argument about whether an assasin should be able to “steal that much” but a fundamental bug with how life leech is working on kicks. If you look through the bug reports you see I am not the only one who has experienced this issue, but I imagine with Mosaic it will come to a much higher prominance as people wonder why they are not sustaining at all.

what? im showing you the bug that is most likely causing your issue. this is a documented and tested bug. it is literally a bug report on how life steal doesn’t work

im so confused. im not arguing anything. its tested and has empirical evidence… lol
and who brought up anything about it being an argument on assassins stealing too much? wtf?? lol are u good brother?

sorry i misread it. but its not a bug with how lifesteal abilities work. its a bug with how the physical abilities are working and registering. It is an actual issue with the kicks not properly processing the life steal (probably the same issue with werewolf, but I have not experienced that first hand). I did some live trials on act 5 mobs that were having issues, and when the same charge count was used on the same mob type (serpents in the Crystalline passage in this case), while using Dragon Claw (the only Non-Kick finishing move) the Cobra Strike worked as intended and leeched every hit. But when using Dragon Talon (a kick move), with roughly the same power per attack, it did not, leeching only one in 3-5 hits of the move. also the argument was because i did not realize at first that you were referencing an older post, so as I said on that, my bad.

“roughly the same power” you could be just below the bar for too much damage to leech with dragon claw and just barely over with dragon talon, you dont need very much damage to cause the issue.

youll have to explain or show proof of your issue because i’ve never once failed to leech with kicks except when they did too much damage due to the overflow bug

idk why you’re saying its not a bug with lifesteal abilities, i have empirical proof showing otherwise… i can show you video evidence of me failing to leech with dragon claw if thats what you need lol the numbers taken from the post were taken from the actual game’s code, i didn’t just guesstimate the numbers lol

I will try to get it recorded this week, but when i say rougly the same damage, 4k-22k per kick with dragon talon, 4k-22k with dragon claw (the variance was less than 1k dmg on both the bottom and the top I could not see). individually, dragon claw should have the lowest damage base since it is the level one ability vs level 6 or higher. so it should never fail to leech with cobra strike, but it does repeatedly.

sorry but ur not making much sense, ill wait for the video

Dont use fire too leech
