By Diablo Classic we mean not old graphic design D2 + LoD ( which was before Diablo 2 Resurrected) but by Classic we mean a type of game/game mode.
So in short. Diablo Classic is a game mode that contains only 4 acts, 5 classes, small stash, no shared stash, mercenaries only for a specific act, no act4 mercenaries, no act 5, no runwords, no Diablo Clone, No ubers, a small number of set items, a small number of unique items.
Hope this small description will help not only you but also other people.
If people really want classic as you described then why do they want more stash space? Also, just to be clear. I would like bigger stash and shared stash in D2-LoD (v1.14D) but without breaking the game as a I described in my earlier post.
Side note belowâŚ
Blizzard always getting in the way with their damn unnecessary requirements. I could see 10 characters required at most but 20 is too much. The sentence âThank You.â is 10 chars and promotes being polite in the forums. I can see they donât want us to just post â1â or â+1â to be in agreement or just a single emoji. Iâve got a solution though and its:
ââŚThank You.â
and
âThank YouâŚâ
The damn forum interpreter, aka big brother, aka the watch dog, aka we feed every key stroke into the algorithm, truncates the periods. Unfortunately there is no symbol for continuous flow, which is the reverse of being periodic, and fills the remaining required space. No boys and girls is not the answer. So no matter how many infinities you have they will never be infinite enough.
Welcome to letâs stop wasting hard drive space by using this clever high tech trick called wasting hard drive space. Ta-da.
There are still many items you want to keep at classic. Mainly the items that go to trashbin at lod most of the time. Normal uniques & sets and we have a wide variety of rares that are useful. In short, if you play alot youâll get huge amounts of items with 2x3 or 2x4 slots.
Personally the SHARED stash would be enough for me, even if it remains small. Muling is very risky atm. Giving big shared stash from lod would probably be the most time saving way for the programmers. I donât see any reason why not, now that we get the 2.4 patch changes. It doesnât affect the gameplay at all. Just takes some of the painful work from us.
Because after 21 years with small square of space for items where you mostly play on rare and some number of unique items is too small. Also shared stash I a nice QoL to mule what you need to mule.
Now in D2R you have a bigger stash than in D2LoD ( old graphic) and also you have 3 shared stash. So tell me where is the problem to just copy/paste part of code to increase this for Classic game mode?
Edit.
Regarding my previous post about the description of Diablo Classic.
This game mode is more rewarding, more interesting, gives more pleasure than LoD where you have so many items that boost you so much that the game is very very easy.
Especially when you play Classic Hardcore as I do.
Thank you again @GuessWho for saying it plainly so the devs get the message. Add the stash space for Classic and LoD. Donât break the game. Let the players have fun and enjoy the game. Some like the pre-LoD, some like the LoD. I like LoD. I havenât played pre-LoD âclassicâ in many years. Maybe Iâll run an experiment at some point.
Classic is a really nice mode. Unfortunately the LoD patches also effected the classic gameplay, which changed it quite a bit. But if you want to challenge yourself, you might want to give it a try.
Hopefully because as you see we have here 729 posts, 27.3k views, and only one from the Community manager from Jun '21 - so the post is from beta time. Till now we didnât get any other feedback regarding stash and shared stash. Also, we have PTR live, patch 2.4 and we still didnât get any feedback about the stash and shared stash.
I will be really surprised if they add this without saying anything. This will also mean that they donât have the honor to say sorry or whateverâŚ
Give us a shared stash already. If the devs are worried about changing classic that already happened with the upcoming patch changes, set changes and auto gold pick up. All a shared stash does is stop us from having to throw items on the ground for no reason.
Would love an update from Blizzard on this. Their reasoning for keeping classic true to form is no longer an acceptable excuse. Everyone that plays Classic is asking for this simple quality of life improvement. Honestly Itâs pretty disgusting this wasnât included from the get go.
