I was able to log in today… The game is running fine, however the cinematics are lagging so much I can’t watch it. Anyone have the same issue? Is there a way to fix this?

Just responding as I have lag problems as soon as game started. My cinematic scenes ran almost perfect but as soon as I started game, main screen and mouse movement is lagging so much I cannot play. I adjusted all graphics etc, and no resolution to the problem. Diablo 3 ran great. Hope its fixable…was so excited to buy it yesterday. Good luck! Janine
Cinematic stuttering is really noticeable when there is a lot of movement in the scene. This problem has been going on for me since the beta. There are also occasional sound playback issues with the cinematics.
I would think my Ryzen 9 3900X would be able to handle decompression of the video. It’s always 2 CPU threads that are maxed when the cinematics are playing, regardless if SMT is enabled or not.
Other than that, the game runs fine for me.

This is very odd. Sometimes the cinematic plays fine… I just don’t know what it is. First I thouhgt it was the connection, but I don’t think it is. Than I thought a patch fixed it. But it lagged again some other times. It’s very puzzling… Sometimes it plays fine, but most of the time, whenever there is too much going on it shutters and lags.

Nothing seems to have changed regarding the cinematics between the original post and now. No matter how I try to adjust the framerate or frame timing, it always feels laggy in predefined places.
Someone even suggested that this is an “artistic choice” as they claimed that the stutters happen in identical places in the original cinematics as well. Maybe that’s true as to my eye it seems that the cinematics feel just as stuttery when viewed from Youtube. Go figure. I would love to hear a comment from the dev team =)

Priorities took over… Problematic servers and all… Focusing on getting ladder going ASAP… Understandable.

Same here on Nintendo Switch Platform, the cinematic of D2R was laggy as well…… Hope Blizzard will fix this issue. ( D3 on Nintendo Switch does not have laggy cinematic).

Same problem here. The game looks like a charm, but the cinematics are too slow (5 fps some times).
My specs are Ryzen 5 5600g, RX 6600, 32 gb ram.
