No no no a million times no. The characters have actual story and history don’t change things like that

The different classes are from different ethnic regions of the world of Sanctuary. So frankly, that doesnt make a lot of sense.
Looking at the characters that are redone the paladin is black, and the assassin is asian.
Paladin was always black? And like the amazon changes some community members want, there are some not happy with the race change on the assassin.
Not a problem imo but going with the trend these days the option could draw more people to the game. Barbs are men. They have to have daughters that had to fend for themselves while the men were at war. There could be some who wanted to be more than support and trained to be more. Could become as an add on for an extension with its own back story to carry on popularity of the game.
Does the madness ever end. 
I straight up would prefer nothing more than just a beautiful makeover for the game i played non stop for more hours than i like to admit. Fix the dupe glitch as well. But to add more content and bring more people in from another generation it would would need more spark.
It’s a meaningless thing to me, I could not care less one way or the other.
And while I respect the efforts made by Blizzard to be more diverse and inclusionary, and support those efforts in other games, I don’t know that D2R is the place for a retrofit, and , selfishly, I don’t want the remaster to be delayed to add those assets in.
As far as what they’ve already done, again, doesn’t offend me or impacts my game in any way.
Well if that is the case I want the amazon to look like Kate Upton not Caitlyn Jenner.

Base player characters should look as close to original D2 models as possible.

If there are people who are offended by the original looks (though current discussions and polls show it’s about 1% of general playerbase) they might add some optional things like:
a) Age slider, so you can be 70 years old if you really want.
b) Ugliness slider.
c) Gender slider.
But now it’s the other way around, sadly.
It’s 2021, everyone must follow the path, otherwise you will get a stamp as a hater. This is so sad how things have turned out…
IF they are going to these changes and its supported in both toggleable views, sure. I’m a fan of no changes to gameplay but the only reason I’m excited for this are the few QoL changes and largely the visual updates.
My vote on this is YES…on if…
In the end, I forsee MOD being allowed so I’d rather it be done up front

Attractive women are constantly being marginalized in games these days. We need to stand up for their rights and demand they are represented.
I hope they allow us to mod the character models, that solves a lot of personal preferences and problems of these sorts 
You can always think that the barbarian perceives himself as a woman, problem solved.
Its a “remaster”. Please do not put more stuff in there that was’nt part of the original game. Jeez, why must everything be exactly the same like the others.
I think more QoL stuff would achieve this goal better. People are going to be turned off by some archaic systems imo.
Take a look at any eastern game, they’re practically naked.
