Character missing please restore

Hey all,

There’s currently a server issue happening which is causing character lists to be blank. This is not the same problem that we’ve been talking about in this thread. The server folks are on this and working to restore access to the game, but if your characters just seem to be missing right now and only went missing in the past few hours, it’s most likely a display issue because your game client can’t currently read all the data from our servers.

Most if not nearly all of the characters that went missing during this issue should be return after the server problem is resolved outside of the possible scenarios that Uldrision mentioned above.

For characters going missing there are 3 scenarios.

1. It was an accidental deletion. The X of death is getting changed to prevent this mistake from happening. It’s pretty common and sometimes you don’t even realize it till it’s too late.
2. Server hiccup. In these cases it may disappear for a bit and then comes back. This is a server side issue and is being looked into.
3. Server hiccup. In some cases the character disappears for good. The information gets deleted somehow. Again, it’s being worked on to prevent this from happening.

In either of these cases there is nothing support can do to go in and manually fix it. In the case that the character is deleted then it’s gone for good. We know this isn’t ideal and even we’ve run into this with our personal accounts. It feels really bad when that 85 char you’ve been running ubers with is just gone. As much as we would like to help recover those lost characters I’m sorry to say there isn’t a way to do so.

Appreciate the reports anyway. We’re working to get the servers back up and running ASAP

Blue here. We do say stuff at times. There are a few issues that are being looked into and we’ve put out brief messaging for it. No ETA at the moment for it. Do keep an eye out on the Twitter for any updates. Note: Missing characters may happen. If you’re experiencing this issue wait it out a bit and the character should show back up once the system kicks back in.
