i had a mld fireclaw rabies
and one lld charger with an eth honor martel de fer (i would replace it when it broke, its cheap enough and that wep base is pretty easy to snag because no one uses it)
everything else was HLD and nornmamlyl just alt gear for my main,
like swapping titans off for strokes,
or ( and this my fav thing i used an uber smiter for the one time i made him)
i would get an upped GA with i believe a gul run if I’m not mistaken, and use exile and tgods, and cap my resist so that infinity wouldn’t lower them… this would leave me at 95% all resist and i would love the crays of “sorb” from the sorcs . ( because absorb was banned)
Just in general, I think 18 is super low for a game like D2. Nearly everyone makes a Blizz sorc every ladder, if not a fire sorc for key farming, or both…then you got your dins, most players will have a few duelers…
Do they just expect us to delete a bunch of lvl 90+Chars that still have uses in nonladder…
You’re also forgetting Classic, and I play both Classic and LoD…honestly I don’t think 30 is absurd at all. I easily will make 7 self found chars, that already brings me to 23…honestly I don’t want to think about it, I’m sure they’ll make me buy this game 3 times…that is the absurd part.
6n >= 30 might not be absurd, but I find that it increasingly becomes absurd in terms of storage restrictions and character menu organization. I would’ve proposed microtransactions to cover your needs, but upon consideration, buying new Battle.net accounts solves both the storage and organization issue without them having to implement any additional functional requirements and designs.
At one time between me, my dad, and my brother we had 14 accounts. At 8 players each. So that is 112 if I did the math in my head right. I know personally I had 7 accounts.
Mule management took on a whole new meaning. Along with learning RD delay times.
Yeah I don’t expect to have unlimited, I understand 50 is a lot for most people, but 18 is just too small a number.
After a few ladders I’ll have half of that at least completed, as I don’t think having 1LoD HC, 1 Classic HC, an Mf sorc and barb on each ladder respec’d To pvp is all that insane…
I think it just sucks I’ll have to likely give up low level dueling if that’s the case, I’m already buying d2r on pc and switch, I’m not going to buy it a third time.
Low level duel was a lot of fun but honestly this might kill that part of the community.
It will most likely launch with 18 character slots per bnet account just as D2 currently is. D3 currently has 10 or 12 so I don’t think it will be higher than 18.
I would expect it to be the same as current D2 which is 18. You can also only have 1 D2R key per Bnet account so that is the limit of the shared stash as well.
With how games work on modern Bnet, there is no such thing as a “permed” game where you can safely drop items on the ground and switch chars. You will need a friend in game.
This are both educated guesses as to how it will work, but it is safe to go with it for now.
I currently have two D2 accounts. In the past I have had as many as three at a time. I only have 18 characters across the two accounts so I would be fine if there are only 18 allowed per account in D2R. If I want more then I have no problem plopping down the money to purchase another key for an additional account.
yeah, its going to suck if we only get 18 character slots. i want the max they are willing to give. any less than 50 is going to be hard to work with in my opinion. id prefer to get at least a 100.
On the current Battle.net that plays D2 we can only have 18 D2 characters per account. If you want to create more D2 characters then you would have to create more accounts. With D2: R being on Battle.net 2.0, and they know that we’ll be having more than 18 D2: R characters especially when new ladder resets, then more than likely they’ll be allowing more than 18 D2: R characters per Battle.net 2.0 account. I don’t think they’ll have us make new Battle.net 2.0 accounts each time that we reach 18 D2: R characters. Kind of like WoW is. I currently have 29 characters on realm Nazgrel on my Battle.net 2.0 account. I believe the max is 50 characters.
There is a serious risk of having a failed remaster if the number of characters is limited. It must be at least something between 50 and 100, so we dont have to bother thinking in deleting one toon or another.
