Played about 2 hours with my Necro server went down and my Necro is gone
Will we be getting our characters back? Would hate to have lost my progress

Same here, played and leveled a bit, logged out and my char said i was level 3 when i was closer to 8-9. now none of my characters are showing.

this is really bad.
if the server is still offline you should be unable to create a new character. if that is the case your “lost” character should re-appear as soon the server comes back online. at least that was the case with me

true, idk what blizz was thinking keeping the login servers online while the game servers are down, that only creates confusion
Problem still persists. Just finished a game, tried logging into a new one, got the message that my character “doesn’t seem to exist on the server”. restarted the game - character gone from the list…
yesterday wasn’t so bad. My Sorc was lvl 15. Went to bed, next morning she’s there again. Now I spent a whole day playing and sit here, hoping my lvl 66 character isn’t gone forever.
This needs to be fixed…
Missing my lvl 28 fire sorc on hardcore. Nothing loads and clicking join lobby does nothing. Where did our characters go? I spent a good deal of time rebuilding this character after the first death.
Yup, I also lost my level 24 Amazon, but I’m pretty sure it will get back. They’re doing something with the servers again.

ditto cant even log into the lobby. Would be nice if they would give us updates…
It’s not gone, the client is just timing out because it can’t retrieve the character data from the servers. Just restart the game several times until your char shows up.
I think he’s right reloading several times finally resulted in my characters loading instead of timing out. The game doesn’t really tell you it’s timing out though.
Edit: Although now it’s giving me the bug from yesterday where it says my character is already currently in a game after the characters managed to load and I went to join a game.
that happened to me also, yesterday night i was playing and the server kicked me, after that i couldnt log into my friends channel again, today i made a time to play and my pj is gone!! come on
