So, I just did my first ever seal pop run (I know, I know)… with my Wind/Zoo Druid.
Pop’d the seals, took down the Seal Boss’s, than eliminated Diablo.
YAY me!
All monsters are eliminated.
Zero loot. None, Nadda…
What did I do wrong?
Do not think I was too slow… but, maybe?
125FCR, ignored everything but the Seal’s and Seal Boss;'s…
Did not time it, but certainly under 2 minutes…
Help?
You have to save the last seal untill u have killed all seal bosses, before u open last seal u teleport around the whole area to activate all the mobs and then hurry pop the last seal to spawn diablo. I cant remember how long the mobs stay active but i think its like 8 sec before they idle if no players are nearby and u dont get loot from idle mobs.
Edit if u cant tp around the whole are in about 8 sec make sure u pay attention to where the big groups and champion packs are when u start the run and tp for seal bosses. Then u just ativate them before popping last seal
This should largely be done in higher player counts, so windy might not be the best, though it does have some decent affect even in P1.
You want to say the last seal pop where all the monsters burn out. Before hitting it, you teleport and see as many mobs as you can in around 5-15 seconds before you hit that seal and then click it and they’ll drop stuff. I think there is a weird server update part of this that can give you varied results, also your teleport BP plays a good role in it as well.
This though is probably the best strategy for a windy druid as you get to farm without wasting as much time with your slow kill speed. I’d target the champs, before seal popping if you’re running good MF, if low I’m not sure it is super important (because seal popping does not use your MF). If you’re successful over time you’ll see extra runes, charms, jewels, gems, bases and magics. Obviously I think there are other possibilities but these are the main finds you’ll have. Keep in mind though on P1 with how high the no drop chance is it will be dramatically less because you’re mostly farming the trash with this method.
Thanks guys.
ya, I’m on P1, but it’s runes and crafting materials I’m after…
Sitting at 11 frames for FCR/teleport… not sure if it’s speed,or user error… but I had intermittent success later on yesterday…
Guessing it’s user error… I’ll keep trying and see if I can get the hang of it.
And, Wind Druid is actually my fasted Tele guy… Ha.
Simply open 4/5 seals, port back to entrance and then directly to the last seal, open it and all mobs in the range of your last 8s roll for drops.
- You need to know which seal spawns the seal boss and which seal is just a seal.
- Before you POP chaos you must tele and see monsters in around ~10 seconds, remember where you saw the most mobs and try to hit as close to the seal pop as possible.
- You can POP in two different ways.
A. Open all seals, and leave the last seal boss for the final kill after you tele around to “see” all the mobs you want to pop. (not recommended.
B. In the last section be it to the left or right, you pop the seal boss seal, kill that boss while one seal remains unpopped, then tele around and hit that last seal to initiate the pop. Highly recommended because there is no kill speed issue, simply clicking on a seal.
So in case B that is the reason why knowing which seal does what is important because if you do it the wrong way, you’re eliminating your chance of seal popping using the fast click and are stuck killing the seal boss instead.
Also you should REALLY try to see if you can do it in a P3 game, but honestly online that isn’t really manageable. And going higher while for sure better is going to leave you too slow to achieve anything with a windy druid.
As for what you’re looking for runes and crafting material is what you should be finding. Though if that is all you’re interested in, I’m sure you have a better character that can like run cows on P1 or perhaps a hork barb?
I like to go clockwise… so…
I got to Vizier, pop his seal, and eliminate him… then pop the other-non-summon seal… and move on…
I need to summon Lord De Seis, and take him out (only 1 seal here).
Then I go to Infector, summon/eliminate him, leaving the non-summon-seal alone…
Tele like mad thru the map… and back to last seal and… pop-bingo…
Is that correct?
Perfect.
Also while weird you might benefit MAYBE by a hotswap in gear getting you to 163 if possible. I don’t really think it is that doable considering your character and the FCR difference between the BPs, but if it is possible use it.
Yes thats it

I do have the gear/jewelry to get to 165fcr… costs me @res, CNBF and 2- + skills but, with Cyclone Armor ??? hmmm… Maybe I should give it a try.
Never tried Seal pop before… other characters never had enough Tele speed to consider it.
Is there any way to add damage to Wind Druid via sockets… have 2 lids I am considering using, both with 2os…
Made a thread here, but, maybe that one needs deleted if you guys know the answer…
Test 5 runs on each setup and see how it goes would be my best advice. Since you’re on P1 I don’t think it will slow you down so much, but if it does just do it the other way and shorten the area you try to tele to in order to maximize results.
The end focus is to farm the trash, more quickly and get benefit from it. So whichever way helps you do that the fastest is best. Remember speed is probably the most important thing in the game over anything in PvM. Also note while your BO/BC might be a bit less your increased FCR will have more repetition on the board.
But the biggest issue with the druid build is really finding the ammy with 18FCR. You can make it up elsewhere and perhaps on P1 it wont’ slow you down, but it means you are making sacrifices. Still you can test this out on an extreme budget for minimal cost to see how you feel about it before hand. Missing out on a SOJ for a little while to test isn’t that big of a deal. But again another sacrafice.
There is nothing you can socket in a druid helm that does enough additional damage that I think it would be worthwhile. Better to use those slots to round out your build instead.
The 163FCR build uses a 2/20FCR helm. Honestly if you’re rocking some summons or whatever it doesn’t have to be super fancy. It certainly could be, but not required. I think technically 5/5 facets add damage to hurricane, but really it isn’t ideal.
