yo they r getting real annoying now, spamming non stop and no way to ignore/block. r blizzard going to do something about them

Find the bot’s character at the bottom. Right click. Block.

Just tried it and it works fine. Odds are you’ve filled up your block list. Clear it out then you should be able to block again.
Well I’m unable to clear my blocklist so if you have a way to do this please inform as it doesn’t work for me.
I seem to be only able to remove someone if they are currently online, it’s possible that those i cant remove, have been banned and prevents in some way to remove them.
Old D2 had a ignore file you could delete but no such file exists now.
You can acces your block list from launcher. Hope they soon implement some ingame way of clearing it.
Thanks for that info, wasn’t easy to find, and this makes zero sense for it to work this way as this is the only game i need to use block for the damn website spammers.
Agreed it needs to work in game for it to be useful.

how about just lock out everyone in trade and lobby … the spamm absolutely broke those areas for good …
wow after I clear over 100+ ignore list from my setting on bnet launcher I finally able to stop the spam. they should update ways to do this in game.
My block list is empty. Yet it does not work to block his messages.
Game says I blocked him, but yet, he spams the entire screen.
Don’t right click the name in chat to try to block. I don’t recall seeing that in the list of bugs that were fixed (but I may have missed it).
Right click the character in the gallery at the bottom. Once successfully blocked, you should see the glowing chain things around the character denoting that they have been blocked as well as a confirmation message in the chat.

yo still they need to come up with better method or just give us unlimited amount of block list. I erase my entire block list over the past decade. and so far its already accumulated over 28 name again just from d2r. if it continue at the same pace right now I be maxed again in another 2 month or so.
The lobby bots can spam all they want I just ignore it. The in-game spam in the trade channel though is very annoying while trying to mf.
You can go to the Trade channel by selecting it in the chat drop down and type /channel leave and it will leave the trade channel. You’ll have to do it every time you make or join a game, but that’s one macro button I bet Blizzard couldn’t get mad about you using.
So I have to do extra work because Blizz fails at removing spam bots … legit.
