Casulal's, do not make more than one lvl99 Character

In my experience…
making a lvl99 character was awesome…
I then made several…
Now I very rarely play any of the the lvl99 characters. Nothing to prove, nowhere to go… they are stagnant…Trophies - wasted space.
I am having much more fun playing my other characters, and, if they ever approach lvl99 I’ll strip their gear/merc and get them killed several times to keep them relevant.
Again, my experience.
If you are Mr Ladder racer, then I cannot relate, and I would guess you are not a casual… so, do your thing.

For the majority of builds, lvl 90 is good enough. Anything beyond that is just more icing on the already done cake. I don’t care at all about the race to 99, and I don’t care to nolife grind to 99 just to gain maybe 5% faster MF runs.

PvP is the key. There is nothing to gain with the character after 99 and your lvl 85 char farms as fast as your 99. But the 85 char still gets xp.

I’ve made 6 lvl 99 chars and only touch them for fun PvP.

lvl91 is da thing™ - that’s where the last significant TZ upgrade happens (last TC unlocked for SUs).

Sure thing™ for post 90 farming… I was just referring to character progression though.

I typically start one of each class, starting out with a sorc for that early access to teleport and good ole spammy Frozen orb and hits like a truck Fireball. Any non sorc items I find, they’ll get dumped to their appropriate classes stash once the sorc stash gets full. Then once I get bored with the sorc, I’ll go play with what I found with the other classes… Usually starting with the next class which I found most with, and keep doing the same thing.

RNG determines what classes I play. :o

I used to play this game like a maniac for 12+ hour days, i have about 1k hours total in LoD and D2R. I had only one 95 char. Im a casual too? There is no end game. Why would i spend time grinding to 99 and have nothing from it excapt slightly better chances at crafting, few skill and stat points?

12 hours a day up to 1000 hours is 83 days, which is less than 3 months :joy: so yes, you are still a very new player

I think i might be closer to 2k than  still a newbie. I heard that a person who was there when they poured the concrete for the building when first line of code was written in is considered almost a intermediate player

For real there was like 4 months (combined) of 12h days, and a ton more time at random. And i still havent played a Javazon or Mosaic, and i dont have a singe Ist to my name :stuck_out_tongue: I like to start from 0 most fun
