I found a rare shield. cant sell it to any vendor. Tried multiple vendors.
In a new game I could vendor it.

Bumping this as I encountered the same bug. Also a rare paladin shield. Dropped from Hell Pindleskin, in Americas softcore. i tried dropping and picking it up. i tried stashing it and removing from stash. i tried different vendors. could not sell the item to any vendor, they say “I cannot complete this request” or something. upon making a new game, i could vendor this item.

i’ve encountered this same bug just now. found rare pally shield in hell off an armor rack and was unable to vendor it but was ok to sell off my other items.

same thing happened to me today off a rare paladin shield, crown shield to be exact

same here, rare pally shield dropped of diablo in NM I believe. I couldn’t sell it to any vendors, tried dropping it, stashing it, etc… could sell all my other items. Saw someone write above that they left their game and made a new one so I tried that and was able to sell it np. Vendor says “I cannot complete that request” when I tried to drag it over to their inventory

This still exists. I just encountered it as well. Crown Shield. Mine was named Imp Badge.
No vendor will accept it.

Happened to me with a magic paladin shield.
Just encountered this with a rare Heraldic Shield named “Fiend Rock Heraldic Shield”
Same here, it happened to me few times already, also on pala shields. But also on an amulet. Not a huge deal but worth noticing.
I also just noticed a rare rondache that I cannot sell to the vendor. It dropped from The Summoner in Hell.

Happened to me with rare paladin shield A3 hell, and now with rare jewel A1 hell.

Interesting. Seems to be a pally shield problem. Cant sell this garbage targe I just found.
Same bug happened with a rare Gilded shield found in Chaos Sanctuary. Hell difficulty. Could sell any other item, but the shield until I created a new game.

It JUST happened to me, as well. Magic Rondache NM Nihlathak dropped. Can others report on what monster dropped it, please?
Considering this bug seems to be more commonplace among boss drops and class-specific non-white items (mostly Paladin shields)… It looks like it could potentially involve some bigger issues.
I mean, maybe the item has OTHER problems aside from being impossible to sell. I’m not about to test this out myself by equipping it, though. Too risky IMO.
I’ll just drop it, in case even keeping it stashed is a risk. It’s pretty weak and only worth 355, after all.
