Can't create games on any character "Gives game name contains profane words or reserved names" despite gn being "aksdio" or otherwise random names

Not sure what they’re doing on the backend of this game, but its just more evidence of it being an utter fiasco since the dissapeared items in shared stash still persists and there hasn’t been a peep on their supposed fix not working. You can’t get answers from them via bug report on real issues, so may as well go in general chat. Customer support has no clue what these people are doing so they’re not able to help.

Game name ejtdg23213dsa23 triggers 'profane or reserved names" in game name and can’t be made. Same with any other game name. No games can be made on any of my characters.

The best part is i can join other peoples games.

Same here. It started this morning; last night I was playing and making games as usual.

WTF???

Something similar is happening to me too. I was playing last night just fine. Jumped on to do a countess run and couldn’t create games due to this message.

Hopefully it’s fixed soon.

This has been going on for months, and likely is purposeful pertaining to the weaponized outrage culture. Ive experienced several occurances of this going back 10+ months.

My first experience was of a game name, completely arbitrary as yours. You cannot even type a certain sword type (that is part of the game) without it being censored. Most recently I attempted to create a character with the name “BooBoo…” (meaning as mild injury) but it was denied ( probably because it contains "boob–…

There is a push for speech to be considered violence (so that speech/information can stiffed/censored/controlled more easily). The more successfully the masses are programmed to accept that much of speech is intolerable affronts to someone else, and therefore deserving of censorship, the easier it is to gain conformed consensus that free speech in general is “dangerous” to society (and not just those who desire control over others and need controlled speech to gain/maintain it) and should be censored.

The more (perceived) small examples of censoring of speech that people are exposed to, the more acclimatized they become to it, gradually accepting greater and greater affronts to freedom of speech, opinion, association, etc.

History shows us that those calling for / doing the policing speech have always been the real “bad guys”.

They haven’t realized that their turn is coming. Just wait until the next group of crazies decides that they don’t like what our current woke crowd is up to. The goal posts are always being moved. I used to be very liberal. Now I’m a left leaning conservative who is apparently a racist, misogynist, xenophobic, anti-semetic, unacceptable Canadian. It’s incredible. I’ve grown up but I really haven’t changed that much. I was raised to be accepting of minorities and non-straight people. I was raised to be considerate of women. I don’t understand how I woke up one day and the world decided I was a bad person.

I got this error message quite a few times today when I pressed the “Play” button on the main screen. In that case the game name is automatically generated (something like “Game14779950425”) and it seems Blizzard generated game names for me with reserved or profane words. :joy:

BTW, this happened to me on the US servers where I log in rarely only for trading. I have never seen this error message on the EU servers.

Lmao this is the most unhinged string of comments. Seriously? Outrage culture is the reason for a very clear glitch in the game? Cmon man how can you honestly believe that when I’m literally experiencing the game with ZERO game name, just hitting play game gives me the error and it happened after I DCed. You guys buy so much into the narrative pushed by whoevers willing to coddle your world view that you are willing to ascribe it literally anything xDD There is no outrage culture, in fact the only outrage comes from the ones mad about all the supposed “outrage”, it’s one of the simplest forms of propganda techniques and I find it absolutely hilarious how many people buy into it on the left and the right. Show one tweet with 3 likes on fox and cnn and bam apparently everyones super upset about X, even though if you talk to literally anyone you know they will tell you they don’t give a flying f about it and only care about how they will feed their families. Oh well, everyone needs a boogie-man and I get “cancel/outrage culture” can be yours if it makes you feel better. Blizzard/Activision are literally the least progressive/pandering company you’ll find in the games industry and don’t give a crap about anyones outrage, just look at diablo immortal and all their other scandals as of late.

Enjoy socienty in their finest. All this filters are present only for one reason. Because dumb people amongst us cant write in civilized manner and are toxic.

Yeah, and even dumber people are offended by words in a video game.

This is where you are completely wrong, filters exist, because other people believe you are too dumb to decide for yourself have decided for you what you are allowed to see.

Weird, maybe you could link a screenshot of the issue, so that we can hypothesize where it comes from?
PS : I just made a game with that name, so the issue doesn’t seem to come from the name itself.

LOL… you people (don cherry quote) are the problem. Creating an issue out of nothing… ITS AN ERROR. I was getting this with the Play Now button, and when I try in the lobby, yesterday.

Restart your game and that cleared it right up.

ITs a glitch, nothing more.

I’ve had the error when just clicking play, and letting the game generate itself. Thought it was pretty funny.

Yeah, just ran into this today while trying to create a solo game. There’s got to be some other failure case, but it’s producing the wrong error.

whats even worse I’m getting this trying to play single player online with no game names involved…

Try restarting your game, in this case diablo 2 resurrected itself, this fixed my naming problem at least.

You ain’t kidding bud. Some people are just plain stupid. I tried to imagine being their level of stupid before and luckily I woke up before they pulled the plug because they thought I was braindead.
