Im tired of getting the “Couldn’t connect to the server” “error”, I’m fkin muling, need to change fast from 5 characters at least to store items.
Don’t be so strict with game creation and server rules, you guys are doomed for your trash server rules.
Get back to separated regions so we all can play or fkin invest into new servers…

Yeah… It’s part of server fix issues. xD

Its not as easy as “invest into new servers”.
The hardware itself isnt the issue. Blizzard kept the original server code of D2 which wasnt created for millions of players creating new games every 30sec. There is either the game limitation or instability and rollback issues every day.
Blizzard just underestimated how many people want to play D2R and copied the old server code 1:1. Was that a mistake? Yes. But if they had to fix that prerelease the game would be like 60$ instead of 40$.
Atleast they dont release the ladder til they fixed the servercode issues so everyone can just play offline and chill cause everything you farm right now will be pointless as the ladder arrives cause SC non Ladder will be dead anyway
Also a company like Activision/Blizzard should have the best teams the money can pay and everyones who knows basically how code programming works on big companys, they know that have, or should have, a documentation of all code.
Anyway the fact are cause they want to rush things and just make up a 20 year old game claiming to be just a remake, updating only an graphic codes who runs beside a back-end code and they don’t expect, or if they expect didn’t works as well as they should, that’s was too many players on this remake. Also we can’t be punished cause of company fault, that sells a product that they even know if it will works good.
Probably same cause explain why they shut down TCP/IP games, for tree reasons: First piracy, second hacks/editors and third is the game code, that developed for 56k dialup connections and will cause a lot of desyncs and bottle. So is better cut out the problem than solve it. Keep in mind, there’s a year, maybe more they start to pre-order D2. I think it’s too many time to fix your product or prevent some major problems.
Keep in mind, D2 was only a hobby to Blizzard to keep you playing the franchise and got hyped to buy and play D4. So they will not fix too many thing on D2, maybe queues and cooldowns on game creations will never be removed from the game.
I’ve no hope in all D2 for now. In meanwhile blues just read and nothing more…
do you work for blizzard?
your post history suggests you do.
telling people the game would cost 50% extra for online play on release?
shame

Wtf
They already ripped-of us for the remaster, plus I bought it on Switch too, sooooo… Blizzard did make tons of money for something so simple that they released in 1 year.
Blizzard should know that all the classic player now are grownup adults and we demand the things to work.
Failing on customer satisfaction and would love to rate the server part in somewhere to degrade blizzard status for it’s poor service.
No i just how time comsuming it is to fix old (and to new standards terrible written) code. And rewriting the entire servercode costs months of work which equals money. Employees dont work for free and a game needs to be economically worthwhile.
I dont know what you are doing for living but i think you wouldnt agree to work weeks or months for free just to offer a better experience to costumers.
They could throw some of those billions in profit or bonus’ at it… but that’s insanity.
Edit: it’s funny though, d2 launched or was designed and written without netcode functioning, and here we go again lol.

D2R is NOT a remaster. A remaster like companies use that term is just upscaling textures (720p → 4k for example) without touching any other game files. That “remastering” is pretty cheap and not time consuming.
Blizzard did everything (including animations and charactersmodels) from scratch which takes alot of time and is more compareable with a remake than a remaster.
Some people are just to ignoreant to understand how much time and money companies put into games. The only way to gain alot of money with a game right now are ingame shops. PC games were already 60$ in 2005 and are still at this point which is ridiculous even if you just compare it to the 2% inflationrate every year. If all gamedevs wouldn´t work unpaid overtime you wouldnt get a single game under 80-100$ right now. Just think about it and you are crying about getting ripped off 40$ for a remake (that cost around 2years of time to create) with some server issues
And there goes the lie that a company making bank, isn’t making enough of it to ensure quality anymore.
Weird these companies got huge without all these shops, and despite continually making more and more money, need more money.
I dunno that logic really grinds my gears.
