Start up game. Get to Character screen where “Offline” is selected. Click “Online”. Receive message “Connecting to Battle.net” and then “Cannot Connect to Server”.

Having the same problem here.
Same here, I actually played a bit earlier, but everything was laggy as hell, identifying items was taking several seconds and no games were showing up in the lobby. Decided to try and restart and…well here we are.
bro blizzard is hot trash. they’re so busy right now with law suits, sec investigation and a huge sexual harassment scandal (their devs like drove some woman who worked there to suicide with the constant harassment and sexual advances), and banning people for pissing off the chinese government by mentioning hong kong that they have no time to keep their actual games running. some devs who probably loved the hell out of the original d2 worked hard to remaster it, but corporate definitely does not give a damn what happens after they get your 40 dollars.

Same here. On a weekend… just frustrating.
yup im having that same issue and i know that my internet is working because I can do everything else and my kids are even watching Disney+ It would be nice if they would have some kind of notice saying they are working on servers or something. but they don’t have anything at all saying that anything at all is going on. it’s just a little annoying

BNet Authentication servers are down for some.
I was in-game, and got booted. Now I can’t reconnect.

I’m having the same issue, it doesn’t normally go straight to the offline tab ever. It is always straight to online. So I wonder if they are trying to get Offline mode to continue working even if their client launcher is offline.
They drove their Chevy to the levy so they can begin drinking whiskey and rye, singing " ------------- " !
