for anyone whos play path of diablo or any other mods that have buffed fist of the heavens by simply making holy bolt deal damage to all enemies and making the skill run off fcr, its simply one of the most fun and enjoyable builds to play the game with. it literally should be a staple paladin build in this game and one of the strongest but is literally useless right now. its so simple to fix and make a strong and fun pvm build but its almost like the devs just don’t play the game.
I think buffing it to hit all enemies might make it a little too strong and comparable to hammerdin. This would give the paladin 2 meta magic damage builds which is unfair to other classes.
I think the best thing to do is have the holy bolts hit both undead and demons, but not monster types. This would make it viable in more farming areas while not being as overpowered as hammerdin. Also being able to hit demons would the build to farm act bosses as well. It also fits better with the lore behind holy spells affecting undead and demons.
whys having a build that can damage enimies to strong? thats literally the point of the game. use cool spells and kill enimies. and foh is one of the best visually looking spells in the game. it should be strong and viable not this awkward only certain type of monsters gameplay its been stuck in for 20 years. this build is playable in path of diablo and literally just cool and fun
Might be because not everything is supposed to be good at everything all the time. As someone who used FoH paladin in PvM un-ironically before the upcoming patch, I thought it was…fine, honestly. Yeah it was single target only, but it was generally a 1-shot on any single target. Combined with Merc taking out single targets fast as well, it really wasn’t that bad. Now they’re buffing it significantly (1s delay → 0.4s delay, right?), yet you’re still gonna complain and say it’s somehow not enough? C’mon now. If you wanna play Diablo 3 where everything is the same and everything can do everything with no thought, it’s right over there.
it wouldnt be the best, just a aoe clearing farm build for cows or anything dense. its poor single target even with holy bolt compared to good single tartget build. cant do ubers. it isnt best for key running compared to sorc. it really wouldnt be the best at anything just a fun build to run and around clear mobs with
Fully geared, FoH does 5k+ holy bolt damage. That means every enemy on the screen will have a 5k holy bolt thrown at them every .4 seconds. That will be stronger than a hammerdin in high density areas. Toss on the fact that that it is magic damage, and it has very few immunities. That would make it arguably better than a Javazon and with no immunities.
That doesn’t sound a little OP to you?
I mean fully geared hammers can do 15k plus damage and travel in a circle hitting everything along the way too. FoH would just be another option. Right now, without it damaging all types of enemies, pretty much nobody will use it over hammers for PvM.
dude idk if you can read or not, this build is playable in path of diablo which is a mod thats much like base game with extra balancing and tweaks. no its not op its a good farm build soemthing other than hammers. if you havent played it probably shouldnt be talking
hows it better then javazon, java one shots groups to
I have played PoD and FoH became better than hammerdins and no one was hammerdin. I just don’t want a build to set the bar higher than hammerdin.
They nerfed hammerdin. Blizzard isn’t nerfing hammerdin.
they did not nerf hammerdin… I remember looking up the numbers and they compared to LoD skills/synergies
Oh they did end up buffing the synergies back to 14% each over time I see. The main problem there is that the 2 second cooldown on teleport pretty much makes hammers tedious to play though. Hammers are nerfed on PD2 though also.
I’d still rather err on the side of making a build slightly worse than hammerdin than possibly making a build that becomes more powerful than the most powerful meta.
It’s not slightly worse though. It’s a lot worse. It can’t even clear chaos efficiently like a hammerdin can. I’d rather see builds brought up to match the power of the most used builds so that people don’t feel forced to play a build like Hdin when playing a paladin.
What sense does it make that holy bolts can’t damage demons? They’re literally like the most unholy creatures. Lol
I tried it on the PTR. It feels terrible when it comes to venom lords etc. You also have no good damage source for bosses. Read the comment on that video someone left. If it got to be as good as hdin, that’d be great. It’s currently not nearly as good as a hammerdin.
I am for making it hit demons… this would clear chaos better than hammerdin and allow you to use holy bolt on act bosses. I just don’t want it to hit every monster type.
I think demons and undead would be a fair compromise. That’s mainly what I’ve posted for in the PTR threads.
I disagree.
I think it’s fine that a skill mostly for fighting undeads exist. It is not FoH’s fault that the game has become so ez nobody need teamwork to beat Hell.
FoH is for people who want to play support and let merc do most damage, until undead shows up.
Looks op and that Enigma tele spam is cancer.
