lets all admit two abilities are the worst abilities in game nothing can do will make them better. or have players put points in these unless it synergies with poison nova. someone in d2 must been paided to make awful ability so ppl wont make poison builds
Just buff nova’s damage have it synergies with nothing. that way can be used all types of nercobuilds hell if want synergie is with something have it get damage from corpse explosion only
there are abilities so bad . no one ever use them
also buff corpse explosion so you blow up your own revives (not your skeletons your revives) already walking fight corspes waiting to blow stuff up

That is a false understanding.
People not using them is because of the way streamers and websites portray them as being bad is the problem.
Since websites and streamers never actually focus on them people use an argument to say they aren’t good and it winds up sending a message to people such as yourselves that no one is using them so they’re bad.
People only copy what websites and streamers focus on…not how to actually play the game and test.

how do explain there gonna do that? most dagger weapons in game are trash. there is no dagger rune words. never has been, poison explosion is like a fart in the wind compared to corpse explosion

there no dagger in game compared that beat a hoto. give me reason to use a dagger vs a hoto. you cant. you have a melee skill on a caster job. who needs attack rating to even hit, go up. most likely in melee combat your in most danger.
corpse explosion really all necromancer needs for rare damage . cant even blow up your own revives makes it pretty much useless vs boss fights. nercomancers not meant to fight in melee. thats death sentience

this game has been around way longer then streamers.
Those moves always were not considered viable.
Poison Dagger - required Necro to get melee range, AKA the thing the necro is worst at.
Poison Explosion - weaker, resist able corpse explosion.
These skills not getting use, has ZERO do to with streamers. They just arent very good moves.
If you want to Replace them, I would give the Necro, the Poison Breath from the Act 2 Giant Mummy guys and give him Andys Poison Bolt attack.

thats what you think really no. this game been here lot longer then streams poison dagger and poison explosion was bad 30 years ago still bad now. I’m upset that they didnt even mention poison skill changes
When THIS IS WHAT NEEDS HAPPEN THE MOST. we get better mages still have bad path-finding get stuck at doors and block your other skeletons getting to targets. buffing fire and blood golem they were ok. not super terrible like poison dagger and poison explosion
Ppl crying nerf corpse explosion . and its only real damage source summonancer have if nerf corpse explosion you destroy the nercomancer its like removing teleport from soso its not happening cause it destroy the job

maybe redesigning the skill by adding something like prevent monster heal could help that skill a bit. summon necros struggle with bosses, and with proper changes that skill could be made to a bosskiller skill , as an alternative to maxing out golems.
Its easy fix help nercos fight bosses better. just have them blow up there revived monsters making them proxy bombs

revives are good enough as they are, i don’t really see the need to give them the ability for corpse explosion

why not. its not that much damage if use p-explosive or ce on them by making them comment suicide blowing up. its not like gonna hurt any you have 3 mins can have up 40-50 monsters out half of them just run around in circles not doing anything. thank god for engima

this is one of those circular false logic discussions people like to have. On the surface it appears to make sense but when you take apart what people are saying, you see it falls apart because it has no actual foundation of fact. its just a bunch of people all saying something because someone else said it…
Everything everyone is saying is bad has never had anywhere near the same amount of time invested in testing to make things work the way the common things everyone copies and uses now.
The next thing people try to argue is well it was tested and found to not be good so no one would waste the time to test it is again a statement that on the surface looks logical but again when taken apart, you see falls apart.
Here is the deal. All the skills everyone says is bad need the same time invested into them as everything else, and it hasn’t, people don’t invest the time because people say their bad and so they never get focused on. Since they don’t get focused on, you get people who say they aren’t good.
It’ not that those skills aren’t good, it’s NO ONE IS BOTHERING TO SPEND ANY TIME WITH THEM IN ORDER TO MAKE THEM GOOD.
I got news for people, me and a friend of mine spend about a week with the assassin looking at all the skills no one uses because they said they were bad…and within a week of sloppy working…we came up with a nasty build that allows a level 56 Assassin use a martial art SKILL NO ONE USES in any build, to kill a level 90 with 1 hit.
The skills everyone said were bad was just not true. People just aren’t actually spending time with them to see how to get them to work…
All the skills people say are bad need the same amount of time invested in them for testing as all the current builds being used do before anyone can say they are bad.
To say they were tested so people know again is false logic, The assassin me and a friend of mine built is direct proof you can get things to work that people say are bad.

why should they have that ability? they are meant to be a meatshield, for tanking. low damage, high life and temporary. at least you would have to sacrifice skill points from your standard summoner build if they redesigned poisen dagger to a bosskiller.
Or at least some bit of AI code to tell skelly mages and ranged revives to GET OUT OF THE WAY even if it means going forward further to let melee minions go forward. Maybe another one to avoid stopping and attacking in doorways.
I avoid mages and ranged revives for these reasons.
Omg clearly dont play summon nerco tried to grind andy for loot. and your skeleton mages block all melee units. putting you bad situations. not everyone can get 150 doller engima you know. they all srart somewhere
And You revives do more roaming then they do attacking. dont do nothing unless you teleport right on top of something. they fly around for 3-4 seconds before releasing hey! i got attack something
whats point summoning all these bastard they dont do there jump. my skeleton mages in melee combat. why are they blocking doors being a pain
just some random suggestions for poison dagger because I’m bored. Keep in mind, I don’t have an ironclad understanding of how poison damage actually works in D2.
open poison dagger up to swords/throwing knives - swords to make the skill more versatile and able to use runewords, throwing knives because something about a necromancer throwing poisoned knives sounds cool.
give poison dagger an instant damage component equal to 10% of the total poison damage it would do, just throwing out a random number. If I have to kite for 20 seconds before hitting again, it better at least have some use if I choose to spam it.
remove the increasing duration component because (from my understanding) it only serves to slow down how often you actually get to attack. Or cap it at 5 seconds or something. This could probably be done for all poison skills.

I have tested poison dagger, because I have liked poison necro for 20 years.
Its damage is great. but its duration takes so long that you will run around the monster in circles for 20 seconds. Its single target melee attack on a class, that has very limited close range survivability.
Poison Explosion, can do a lot of damage, It just Takes WAY LONGER to do its damage then Corpse Explosion. Also in Hell, there are Poison Resist Monsters that just cant get hurt by it easily.
This has nothing to do with people practicing and testing those 2 poison skills.

don’t talk to me in this condescending way. necros are my favorite class. i play them alot. if you don’t have enigma you just shop for a tele staff. takes you 30-60 minutes. also, i never use skeleton mages. their damage sucks and you don’t have to deal with immunities as a necro anyways, so why bother with them.
I forgot about Andy’s poison bolt attack! That would be really neat to give to the necromancer. Nice idea! Instead of poison dagger/explosion. Considering that it doesn’t track you either means that it would also not be considered overpowered in PVP.
