Please blizzard for the love of Diablo let modders mod D2R! Set up a archive like skyrim has where people can be paid for it, I don’t care… I just need new fresh ideas for D2.

Completely agree, Look at mods like Pd2 still getting further development support as an amazing mod while d2r doesn’t get touched.

People can already mod D2R… Nexus is full of D2R mods.
… and play them alone in their basements.
We need multiplayer mods (i.e. realms) to keep the game alive and thriving.

Realms would be great , yeah. I askedfor this long time ago already. It could be even profitable for microsoft. They already have servers for minecraft realms.

Yeah online (modded) play only through official servers that the modders must rent would be a nice change for sure, in case they feared that the modders will steal the community from their servers. It is a nice compromise but it is unlikely to happen in any case.

Even without the rental fee from modders (which would have to be enormous to make any difference, if there was one modder per thousands of players) it’d still be profitable. Assuming all the connections must pass through Battle.net, modded realms would significantly boost the sales of D2R.
Look up D2RMM. It only works in single player. In my opinion, it makes the game way more fun but no matter how I mod it, I still like Grim Dawn better without mods except rainbow filter. The issue is you’re trying to compensate for flawed core game mechanics and there are only so many parameters you can adjust.
