Dear D2R Enthusiast,
I’ve noticed a recurring issue where I seem to be missing a significant number of items on the ground when I attempt to highlight them. This occurs most notably when I’m teleporting or engaging in intense combat. I distinctly remember that in Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction, this wasn’t the case as it effectively displayed all items on the ground.
I must confess that I’ve been employing the BH Lootfilter in D2: LoD (a branch of SlashDiablo). It’s incredibly helpful for singleplayer use, as it announces the items in the chat, eliminating the need for manual highlighting. Additionally, I’ve incorporated some quality-of-life features from basemod, which facilitates the collection of potions just as seamlessly as the automatic gold pickup, amusingly enough.
I believe that I’m not alone in finding this somewhat bothersome, and it potentially diminishes the opportunity to acquire valuable drops. This becomes especially apparent when playing without sound, as the time quickly passes while engrossed in Spotify or a podcast. It’s important to note that I’ve recently begun using a lootfilter and the beam-mod, exclusively in singleplayer mode, so I trust you won’t mistake this for cheating.
In summary, I’m hopeful for a resolution to the issue of missing items when using the alt-key or any other customized button to highlight items.
King regards,
Marius
