Are you guys scared to see Diablo 2 overtake 3&4? No reason why this hasn’t happened yet. Especially with the PlayStation 5 and Xbox series being basically PCs at this point. Get on it!!!

Crossplay would be awesome, but it’s extremely unlikely at this point. It’d take a lot of developer manpower that Blizz can’t spare at this moment because they’ve got all hands on deck for D4.
Even if they weren’t crunching on D4 there’s just no monetary incentive for them to spend the time and money on adding crossplay to D2R, it’s something that likely would’ve had to been done when D2R was in active development.

Lol pretty sure it is for the opposite reason, blizz thinks d2r is not worth their time. I too would love cross play since my family plays both on PC and switch pretty equally, it would help us play together more easily. But sadly we are chump change for them, putting in the development to satisfy basically a handful of people without creating new sales is a definite no go for blizz…
look at their last few patches and what have we gotten, some lackluster runewords, a gamebreaking runeword, terrible sunder charms and game breaking TZ area with the worst implementation known to gaming .
you actually think they are going to do something most of the community wants and would be happy with ? HAH.
the sad truth is this company doesn’t care what happens to d2. mosaic sin is so painful to be around.
Why release this “update” at all then? 5 months after release they announced sales of 5Million copies. (Much more now probably) Not sure how well Overwatch has sold, but they did eventually add crossplay.
