Can someone explain to me this nonsense?

Can someone explain to me how frozen enemies can block attack ? Like what the hell.

Aim for something other than their shields?

There is still a chance that a frozen enemys shield will deflect an attack… face it your character only swings the same way no matter what the enemy does…

Who would aim at shield of frozen enemy?

lol

Is it actualy same in legacy D2? i never noticed.

There seems to be something weird going on with animation of frozen enemies.

yeah, its always done this… want a blast? use holy freeze and conversion and make yourself a wall of frozen monsters and test it…its funny to watch.

Are you sure we speak about same thing? I am talking about “frozen” enemies. Not about chilled enemies who can still move. Holly freeze cannot freeze monsters.

you’ve never made an ice king, sorry i forget how new the playerbase is here…
ICEBLINK, HOLY FREEZE, your choice in HFT weapon… you get enemies that you can COMPLETELY control. for testing. Use conversion/holybolt to heal them and manipulate them forever if you choose.

In terms of what would make sense, a frozen enemy (as in frozen solid and not just slowed) would lose their block chance and also have “ignore monster defence” applied to them. But coding something like that in is probably just too much work I guess.

I am not new lol. You talked about holy freeze and it doesnt fully freeze monsters so … you didnt talk about ice blink before.

Why even talk about holy freeze then? You could just say Ice blink.

Holy freeze makes monster control MUCH easier…

He made mistake, characters cannot be fully frozen

why sheld can’t have auto block magic?

monster block isn’t based on shields as they aren’t a requirement for monsters to block therefore you must just be hitting the mob in the wrong area and either be being “blocked” by magic or natural resistance of the monsters skin/equipment when you get an unlucky blocked attack.

Ice pillar is too hard and your weapon just hit the ice instead of the mob itself, this the ice blocking an attack

Its skeletons in burial ground, fully frozen by ice blast and block my attack with scepter. I know that monsters can have block without shield. But i never realized they can still block while being fully frozen. Which doesnt make any sense at all.

What is point of full frozen effect when they still can execute animations?

Its not just block, sometimes they even weirdly move in it when they absolutly should not.

The game systems are based on DnD when designing a game based around rolling dice it doesn’t always make the most practical sense. But it has indeed been working this way for 21+ years

monsters don’t have to activate animations to block.

Ok i dont care about that

In this case they do execute them. I watch fully frozen skeleton blocking my attack  makes no sense.
