Can someone explain to me how our currency (runes) works?

I seriously don’t get where all these runes are comming from. Are they all duped? Finding any HR at all is absurdly hard compared to finding charms/bases/uniques that you can trade for ber+.

The higher the player count, the more items that drop, especially from white monsters and containers.

Player teams use this to their advantage and will work together to farm games for items.

There are also those who do the same thing with multiple accounts/multiple computers, farming a game all to themselves while their up to 7 other boxes sit in town boosting the drop rates.

There are also the Lower Kurast chests around the campfires, which are well known to drop high runes with higher player counts.

You put three of the same kind in the cube, then you get a higher one

Its not a currency, its trading items for items.

Some could be duped, but more than likely alot of players farming, bots, ect. Thats why there are so many.

go farm these areas(inside Baal runs room for P8 setting)
Travincal
Chaos Sanctuary
Arcane Sanctuary(ghost mobs only + Su + dead end chests)
Pindleskin
Nilathak

if you farm solo then gl getting HR at all(as in a room with no one else in it)…drop rate are 3-4X lower when ur alone in the room

edit: oh and alternatively if your weak/class can,t handle the above areas…then Eldritch and Shenk at frigid wp

edit 2: almost forgot…dont spit on TZ areas if your 91+ and can steamroll them…while they aren’t specialize for HR…Griffon, Sunder and Death Fathom from them are very prized

I really dont get your post. If you read my post, I have no issue getting items that are easily to trade for them, and guess how I am getting them. Exactly the same way as you described.

some may be duped…but legit farming HR drop on average every 20-30 hours of gameplay in P8 room(if you farm at proper areas)…potentially less than 20 for ppl with hyper reaction speed//relentless farming with 0 distraction

i’am actually having a harder time getting solid base than HR on my side XD

You don’t realize how slow you are compared to an actual good player

Runes absolutly are main curency in like 95% of trades outside of JSP or item sellers sites. Its like this for ages. Its not currency designed by game, but chosen by players.

Semi-currency. But yeah just like pgems keys and essences I guess. But they can’t be a flat currency. Just the best option in game traders have to use.

Game is easy. Should average a HR every 3 days if you’re playing at a moderate pace. Much more if you’re no-lifing. Bots are finding a ton though. No dupes are around IMO.

Its items. FG is currency because you cannot find it in the game. Runes are a plentiful item that SOME players accept as currency. Does it work? Sure, but its not as efficient as an actual currency that holds far better value for longer.

bots, as always bots been the one that bring the 90% of HRs to the game every seasson.
like soj ring.

Those bots are probably also inmortal like old times where you only needed one full rejuveneration potion in your belt and the game will heal to you to 100% life every single damage you get with that infinite potion.

If you farm, you can find high runes but the RNG is something else in D2. So by yourself about one high rune a week if you farm often. If you group up you find more. If you have no friends and need runes, join a public game, find some folks running Baal or something like Chaos walks. Then you can go away and farm a zone for drops. Corrupted zones work well for finding rares and uniques too. But any zone with a high mob density will do for runes. Folks make and join online groups for farming, that is were many of the runes come from.

Thousands of bots running 24/7 where high runes can drop.

A lot of players would be in for a rude awakening if Blizzard ever managed to fix the botting situation once and for all.
