I’m pretty lost on this one. How do we search for trades, or post trades -IN GAME- when there is no chat, no lobby, and you can’t create custom named games. I would love an answer to this. And just so it’s clear, I mean IN GAME not using another app or club.

There is no trading on console if you don’t wanna use a third party website.
So much for this being the “Classic Diablo 2 experience” for console.
I will play self find so doesn’t matter much to me, but I can see why this will be a problem 
there is a newly created website for trading, no fg or real money involved. (diablo2 dot io) you can select your platform when selling/buying.
Yeah you can use a bunch of different platforms for trading, I’m just trying to figure out why there isn’t any way built into the game to do such. As if devs didn’t think it was an important part of the game.

I’d love it if a dev/mod could clarify on this, but looking though the console forums, they haven’t responded to any of our questions/concerns.
Trading in the original D2 always involved posting on the forums. This is not a remake, it’s a remaster, so no new content was added from the original aside from the console port. From what i remember in the original, you still needed to be in the same instanced server to trade anyways (correct me if i’m wrong ppl) and there was no world chat aside from the regional chat in the server’s lobby and it didn’t have trading either. each instance had a chat, each lobby had a massive chat, and trades were mostly set up beforehand.

It’s not the same experience without lobbies on console… I miss the trade lobbies to see current prices of gear, selling sights spamming, and the regular trash talkers

this is why you need to make your voices heard to Blizzard. Make feedback/complaints how we need actual lobbies for console and optional keyboard/mouse support.
It’s embarrassing that they completely overlooked this for console. D2 was built on player interaction.
I never once posted on the forums in the old days, Just watched chat spam (which we can’t) or looked though game names for trades on items I’m looking for, which we also cannot do. The point of this whole thread is why would they push us to use external trading instead of means though in game. Just seems like a very poorly thought out plan. PoE did the same thing when it came to console, restricting players from communicating in game, and lost a massive amount of players due to it. I would just hate to see the same happen to this game as well because poor dev choices.
Seriously, this sucks. D2 drop rates being what they are means players rely on trading to gear up for endgame. It’s a core aspect of D2. Without a simple way to communicate in a trade channel I see most console players bouncing after getting a couple characters to max lvl. Disappointing.
No it actually did not. You could trade an never once touch the forums. No one even used the forums for trade back then they went to d2jsp or arrest summit.
But trading in game is just as viable as either.
The simple answer is it doesn’t. You find some trade forums add someone as a friend and trade with them.
I’m not even going to take a single char to max level if there wont ever be lobbies, the game is just not the same without it, its just not fun.

It allows you to make item offer to seller and message each other.
When you’re ready to trade, then just add each other’s psn.

Sorry I’m never going to use an external site to set up trades when there should’ve been lobbies in the game to begin with
And I don’t add complete strangers to a chat it’s just never going to happen
On Xbox go to “Offial Club” its under game card if u hit the menu button on game icon. Then go to multiplayer tab, there will be posts of ppl wanting trades, looking for ppl to play with ect.
