I have made numerous tickets. After being told I have exhausted the trouble shotting issues and being told mt Account did not have a ban /restriction. I was directed here. I do not get this issue. I have played Diablo LoD since launch. I was playing the game. No issues no errors…nothing, I got called away and when I returned to resume playing. All this happened any help would ne highly apprectited

in before i’ll give help i need to know few things:
the version of te game is it the installed 1.14B from the blizz installer or is it the current 1.14D?
the problem is neither US west nor US east nor Europe will allow you to update your client…
game upadtes only via the asia server, and on top of that for the update to pull through you need to launch the game with administrator priviledges ( if ran on anythong higher than win xp)
once you have the 1.14D patch installed you can switch to US west, and check if the server is online ( sometimes servers are down for a couple of days bc blizz doesn’t give a damn anymore)…
i did perform this a month or so back, so this is more or less accurate info…
version 1.14d is what I have installed
I advise you to check agin there’s little difference between “d” and “b” and as far as i’m aware there are no 1.14d installs.
The latest one you get is 1.14b
The one from battle.net that is, as i said you need to update to 1.14d. In order to do that you need to start the game as administrator (right click the exe and select run as administrator),
After that select asian server and connect to update to 1.14d this time it should update correctly. The game restarts and you should be able to join any realm
I have done all of that, about 4 times and nothing. I was playing the game and life pulled me away. Upon my return i get this issue. I have updated from Asian, downloaded the update separately…nothing seems to fix this issue

Did you mean since summer 2000?
If so then please specify Your D2LoD installation source…
is it:
original CDs back from 2000 (D2) / 2001 (LoD)
or
Blizzard Installers from battle.net, after you either purchased license or validated your cd-keys on your battle net account…
the thing is the installers from CD era have different DRM for CD-keys and also different CD-key format… the old format consisted of 16 alphanumeric keys, the new one consists of 24…
blizz made the transition long time ago, and there was a grace period that blizz allowed old cd-keys to be punched into your battlenet account so you have a digital copy of the game, and instantly asigned a 24 alphanumeric cdkey to the game… time passed and blizz ceased to support the 16 alphanumeric keys as viable access to battle.net so if you still install from CDs there are several steps to overcome to have the account restored if that is the case…
you never wrote when exactly did you ceased to play, and when did you try to return 2000-2025 is quite some time ya’know, lots of things took place during that time, including D2LoD…
if this is the case I’m talking about and You indeed still install D2LoD from CDs and patch the game, than you really weren’t paying attention over what blizz is doing the last 10 or so years, and got yourself out of the circle, if I’m right about what i just wrote, please specify so…
I use the blizz download links for the game and the registered 24 digit keys registered to my account. I came back to playing about 2 years ago no issues up until now

guess i’m out of ideas… just checked on my side and i’am able to enter us west onto the login screen from my D2LoD… so i honestly have no more ideas why you can’t… sorry…
