Can I play offline with a friend?

Hi Guys,

I pretty much gave up on the console online experience. I can not find anyone to play with unless I go to some forums etc.

So I am switching to single player where I can change the number of players.

Now my question is whether there is a way to play with my friend (both PS5 consoles) offline?

Thanks

Unfortunately, D2R does not support LAN play. This is a change people supported in order to encourage more people to play online.

This is soooooo f****ing dumb. They encourage to play “online”!!!

With the state of the online play (no lobbies, no communication) there is no online play (at least on consoles).

It really looks like they dont even try their own games before releasing it.

I don’t think anyone supported the removal of TCP/LAN besides Blizzard for “security reasons” (read: piracy).

That said, it would be really cool if it were reimplemented in the future or some alternative LAN option. Having the option of modded multiplayer in D2R would be fantastic in addition to being able to play multiplayer with single player characters.

Uh we didn’t support it. Blizzard eliminated it and we had no choice in the matter. It sucks they removed it.

lmao did “people” really support that or did blizzard?
I can’t see how the online playerbase would want to destroy LAN capabilities of the game for more to play online, it doesn’t make a lot of sense to me

It makes more sense to me that Blizzard would prevent it from working as some sort of effort to assist in preventing pirated copies being played multiplayer (with the goal having pirated copies not playable at all)

Not necessarily mods. The hitbox is massed up online and it takes 1 sec to the hit to show on screen.

Think of the console version of the game as a way to play on the go. A convivence. The real game is still on PC and you should probably just load it up on PC. You can get a controller for your PC to play on, and then be able to find games. Good luck!
