Hi all
I think the “WASD” was removed. I would love it if I can use a joystick and also use a mouse at same time. Any one know if and how to do this ?
I asked a guy on YT about his steam deck if he can use the track pad also but he never let me know if he could use booth at same time.
Mouse and controller inputs override each other in Blizzard’s split control engine. That is, if you use one, it switches to that mode and if you then switch to the other, it switches to the other input mode. So unfortunately that would be a “no” with regard to this question.

Such a shame, I wish they shared the same overlay, with no transition stutter whatsoever.
I would prefer the KB/M overlay even as a controller player. The inventory gump does not need to cover the entire screen just because I’m using a controller lol.
As much as people may not like hearing so, the golden standard for controller UIs goes to Path of Exile’s console ports (PoE 1 - I haven’t played PoE 2 yet). It was intuitive enough that I almost never made a mistake with it. It was so good in fact that I wish it was on the PC client, using the PC artwork (PC version has more animation frames and slightly different UI artwork), but with the console controller scheme as an option. The 4090 I have blows the crap out of my PS5, and I’ve got most of the good crossover/freebie items on my PC account.
D2R does have one really frustrating bug though - sometimes the controller UI will come up all on its own if a controller is connected to the PC but not touched at all. It’s random, but it’s almost gotten me killed several times as the only way to dismiss it is to hit ESC specifically and then click with the mouse. I do wish I could disable controller input entirely for the PC client if I’m using KB/M and vice versa. Maybe someday we’ll get that as a toggle.
