Bye bye hybrid builds?

I am so happy that its getting closer to what D3 has to offer. What a blessing.

After lots of testing, the cold sorc completely beats out the other sorc builds. Blizz just does too much damage for an ability you can set and forget.

Just tele, blizz, and tele out, mob/boss is dead. 8k blizz in PTR with no Torch or gc’s. Imagine full tals blizz sorc. Will be tank as hell doing probably 10k blizzard at full build 1 shoting bosses.

Haha more like bye bye D2R

If I found a fire charm on my cold character I’d make a game:

N SColdGC O SFireGc

As long as you find one that isn’t Magic damage, trading shouldn’t take too long to find your element.

Hybrid builds suck, they’re too weak for hell, I always go single element. I can level characters faster that way. I can find end game gear and high runes faster going single element. Single element is the better way. Hybrid is weak.

If you want your game to be a challenge then I hope you only ever play hard core and never play softcore. While you are at it, because you want a challange. You should only play classic, ladder, hardcore.

That is honestly how I can of view this too. I think infinity breaking all immunities would be the better route even vs these charms.

I agree, how we get one of these charms is a huge unknown. I feel like unless they are more rare then a HR the market will quickly be flooded with them like annis.

Thanks, I did do that for my Bow GC’s, but no takers. Maybe now I might have some use for them.

you no longer need items with a cold sorc XD

Just because you can doesn’t mean you have to

Doesn’t matter the least bit. This discussion is related to PVM only.

You are aware that hybrid builds are still a thing considering that 0 resist Vs 95 resist is a different of 2000%in damage

You now have the choice to tackle the 0resist or 95resist

Also, this only proves that immunity is not the issue with hybrid builds viability but rather the stupid synergy system that forces you into spending all your points in skills of Same damage type

Time to rework that crap

Only very few like hybrid builds anyways. They are weaker compared to pure build. Majority of d2 players want pure builds to be strong so this is a good step to the right direction

Sunder Charm - 50% of damage is changed to Magic damage.

There.
Hammerdins are nerfed.

This is not fact. This is your opinion.

Does this mean less build diversity?

I found an interesting sorc orb that would allow for a tri element build! 2 sorc 2 hydra 2 blizzard 2 lightning!

Do you have that charm in inventory when you will start playing season? How fast you will get it? Do you play heroes to engoy game or just have best char to farm?

Double elements benefit from it just like single elements btw.

You are thinking about dual/multi builds not actual hybrids tho I assume. Hybrid builds are very much plausible and also Sunder charms help to make other non-meta builds possible now (like for example cold Druid or Auradin). Hybrids on the other hand are something you make by combining 2 classes (or weapons not suited for a specific class) into something new/different/buffed (Enigma excl.) like WW Assassin (using Chaos runeword), Elemental Ranger Paladin or Bear Sorc (using Beast runeword), etc.
