Bug/problem list for Devs: what to fix for D2R

I’m really glad the devs have stated they are not going to fix “as many bugs as possible”.

Imo, it would make the game far worse.

So game is better with mistakes in code with and in game effect and skills not working properly as they were designed to work?

Seriously?

Can you please for example exaplain to me how character being frozen in charge skill which is bugged as hell is better for game?

Is game better by teeling you your trap damage is being increased by facet when its actualy not?

Sometimes, yes. And sometimes bugs make it better.

Edit: botched delete

Excellent and very informative thread. Thank you ‘Zax’ for taking the time to compile all of this.

Can you pick 10 bugs from my 200 bug list which makes game better and explain why are they making game better?

10 is excessive to read right now…but for starters I would prefer 1, 2, and 3 from your list to be kept in the game.

I think they make the game better by allowing people to make extra characters for specific purposes, and gives a little extra boost for the players that learn the tricks of the last decade or so. I like them.

Edit: on the axe, I just think it’s cool, why get rid of it it has no affect on the game.

I dont understand why it makes game better. I believe you wanted to say more easy as it will grant you more loot. Bug 1 is by my opinion not anyhow being bad for the game, it is more funny bug than bug creating problems.

Bug 2 and 3 is actualy being abused all the time. 2 not intentionaly, 3 intentionaly in most cases. I would be fine with bug 2 not being fix. But but number 3 should be fixed because it affects all bosses and often was causing players to join created games by someone else and go kill their boss they wanted to kill on their own. I remember this happening pretty often.

It’s been in the economy for years.
Every drop calculator has these things accounted for.

And no, it has nothing to do with making the game easier, it makes it more fun to create a meph or diablo glitcher. It’s a good excuse to make a new character.

All bugs are already known. No need to copy paste or bump this anymore.

And yet, you just did

Sorry to be boring you mister “I knew it all already”

-Couple streamers pointed out that the game looks a little blurry as if there is always a layer of mist. Game needs to look cleaner.
-Some of the skills look more badass on the classic version such as blizzard!
-Character models should be reworked in order to remain faithful to the original game.
-Need rune and gem stacking not for the space but to make it easier to arrange the inventory and for a clean look. At least add this feature as an optional setting to offline.
-Bats get stuck floating in the air. (This bug was also in d2 classic)
-Mobs get stuck in walls. When townportal is used they keep moving.
-When you get frozen you turn turquoise unlike the classic version. (Dark blue in classic) Not to mention the mobs with freeze attribute look turquoise as well and the ones with fire look light red. Mob colors are all lighter and extremely luminous compare to the original. They do not look intimidating but rather like cartoon characters. We need darker mobs.
-When talking to townsfolk quest audios glitch and get muted.
-When try to cast spells in town the charachter walks funny.
-Some steamers complained about the gold pickup range.
-Mercenaries constantly cast their aura spell which is fine but the cast sound effect becomes unbearable after a while. (classic and remaster)

This is a remaster, not a dam remake , we like the bugs , leave them be D2 is already great, Leave the game play alone nobody wants to see any known bugs go away its what makes it what it is bugs and all,

How is bug fixing remake LOL? You do realize that bugs are usualy fixed by just releasing patches right? And no we dont like the bugs, just read the damn list, there is only very few bugs which might actualy provide something good for player.

Do you really think that blizzard want to release buggy game?

Every new player will not like to see the bugs in game.

first some of these bugs have been known for ever, they said they were not going to touch the mechanics of the game so that means leave the bugs alone. also they could be considered mechanics in the game now, they are just there, deal with it, stop trying fix crap, that doesn’t need to be fixed if the bug existed in the original d2 keep it , now if they have some kind of bug from the overlapping of the original game fix that but other wise leave it alone.

They already started fixing some bugs, based on what we could see in alpha, they most likely fixed leap attack which is in my list, so sorry you are wrong.

Why should they keep the bugs lol? It doesnt make any sense. Every normal company want to fix their games ,not left the game buggy as hell. For some very weird reason you are so confused that you think bugs in game are good thing. I am actualy stunned :frowning:

Diablo 2 Resurrected is not just game for OG diablo 2 players. Plenty of new players will play it also, and they will experience many bugs which vanila d2 offers without fixing. People will not like it. Not in the current age, just look at new fallout games or cyberpunk. People hate buggy games and you can be sure that there will be backlash from gaming community if certain things wont be fixed. It can seriously hurt the popularity of remaster.

Fixing bugs make games better, not worse. Look at Fallout 2 for example. One of the greatest games ever created, true masterpiece, but still buggy as hell also. There are mods which fixed a lot of bugs and even recreated lost content, it made old game a lot better because of it. Thiscan be same case. Nothing is perfect and Diablo 2 is great game, fixing what is wrong can make it even more better.

I think Geezer and Buldognu are trolls.

First i could care less about new people whining about bugs in D2 this new gamer generation , trying to change the games that were great is total crap like example the other forum thread about personal loot and how great it is , if i want personal loot, and crappy legs no trade system i would go play d3. but they have already screwed that up with this shared crap loot tab, i wanted it to be original. not d 3.5
Second they will piss off the majority huge player base that have actually been playing d2 for the last 20 years then any amount of the new potential player base. Some of the bugs are crappy but who cares, its been like that for 20 years if blizzard had cared about fixing them they would have in that time span i would have imagined .

Don’t cry cuz I called you on your woke idiocy.

How would we be trolling when even the devs understand how important some of the “bugs” are to the game.

I guess VV devs are trolls too eh?

Maybe this isn’t the right game for you guys.

Can anyone with Alpha access maybe test some bugs from list in firt post if they are still present or were fixed?

When I am thinking about it, I will probably not implement new bugs from alpha to list I created. These bugs are well documented on streams and in Alpha feedback forums. Also from your own topic. I wanted to have this topic more about original bugs.

This is topic about bugs, not about changes like how will loot disctribution works.

Screwed up how? People dont have to create mules and risk loss of items by rejoiining MP games. People on single player are using shared stast from plugy for years already. Its just the damn place where you can store items. How can anyone be against that is honestly beyond me. If you dont like it so much, dont use it, feel free to use omly limited space of stasg also and never use new added space, easy fix for you.

I seriously doubt you are even playing the game based on what you write. It looks like you played it few months 20 years ago and thats it. Nobody who is playing it for a long time is against bigger stash.

Company who want to release polished game should care.

Do you even realize what are you talking about? Did you see gaming companies frequently updating and fixing they games which are 10+ years old? Dude we are lucky that blizzard is actualy even running servers for d2 for 20 years while they basicly has nothing from it in income.
