[Bug] - Set item “Laying of Hands”
Name - Laying Of Hands
Item - Bramble Mitts
Stat - “10% Chance To Cast Level 3 Holy Bolt On Attack”

Character - Skill - Area
Character - Amazon
Skill - Multiply Arrows
Area - Cow level

Story Time
I am having an issue with the Set item “Laying Of Hands”.
This “10% Chance To Cast Level 3 Holy Bolt On Attack” does not work correctly.
I do believe, it is easier to understand the issue, if you use “Amazon” “Bow or Crossbow” & the skill “Multiply arrows” on the area “Cow level”.

None Issue Version
How it worked before under Diablo 2 LOD (If I recall it right).
When the trigger went off. The Holy Bolt would fly from the characters standing point towards the Minion.
“From A-Character to B-Minion.”

Updating - The Issue Version
When I am on Cow Level & using the skill “Multiply Arrows” or “Guided arrow”.
I can hear the sound, when the Holy Bolt goes off & I noticed it, where it goes off from.
Easy way to notice it for me was against a uniq cow or cow king “1 vs 1” by using guided arrow.
When the Holy Bolt goes off. It is being released from the minion towards the direction you are firing.
So if you have the incoming minion from north & you are firing north & the holy bolt goes off. Holy bolt will go north.
So the holy bolt releases from B-Minion towards the direction YOU are firing, which in my case it was north.

That’s how it works with ranged attacks. It works the same way with the Bone Spears on Brand, or the Frost Nova on Ice.

As an aside, Multi Shot can only proc on the middle two arrows, so Strafe is usually better for testing.

You are misunderstanding the information I added.

I’m not sure what you mean. Proc effects occur at the point of the hit. If you you use a ranged weapon, they happen at the monster. The only exception I’m aware of is the hellfire torch.

Holy bolts from laying of hands, Frost Nova from Ice, Bone Spears from Brand, etc. They all launch from the monster, not the player. They all behave the same way.

Forget about Front Nova, Bone Spears from Brand…& so on.

Concentrate on Laying Of Hands Gloves & “10% Chance To Cast Level 3 Holy Bolt On Attack”.

I maybe can explain it a different way.

I use
Character = Amazon
Weapon = Bow/Crossbow
Gloves = Laying Of Hands
This is how it works.
When you fire against a minion & the Holy Bolt goes off from “Laying Of Hands” gloves.
The holy bolt will go off from the Minion & go towards the direction you are firing.
