Bug? Fade procced from Treachery overrides Burst of Speed

Just made a treachery for my leveling trapsin, and one thing I noticed right away is that the auto-procced Fade will override Burst of Speed cast by the character, which slows you down right away and is really annoying. Is this considered a bug?

Nope.

This is not a bug.

It is not a bug, though honestly the tradeoff of having it proc when you are in danger is honestly not a bad one.

All I really need from Treachery is the 45 IAS and +2 skills. Guess I’ll just have to live with it, whenever it procs, just re-cast Burst of Speed.

This is a “feature”. Only paladin auras are allowed to stack…

Yeah it’s dumb but you can only have one

Ideally they should both work togeheter at the cost of 50% less effect on each

So you could choose between

  • 100% burst

Or

  • 100% fade

Or

  • 50% fade + 50% burst

This is working as intended by the devs.

That’s not to say it isn’t a design flaw - because it is. Assassins should be able to have both active. This would not make the fragile Assassin OP, it would make them slightly more competitive.

The assassin is far for fragile, and it’s plenty competitive in both pvm and pvp.

If we’re going to start allowing multiple of these on the assassin (at scaled down versions), then it’s going to have to extend to others like the pally being able to run multiple auras, the necro being able to use multiple curses on the same monster, the druid being able to run both spirits at the same time etc. I think it’s a cool idea, but it can’t be implemented on just the assassin.
