I don’t even have the runes for Chaos but could I build a Budget Bladesin and make it work? I have a Hustle phase blade I could use from my fury barb, along with Shako, and Spirit shield.
With the changes they made in D2R, you can pretty much focus on plus skills for gear. It’s physical attack damage, so you want attack rating and off-weapon ED. Get a might merc. Attack speed doesn’t affect blade fury, but does affect trap laying speed for blade sentinel.
- For starters, clegaws set and angelic combo are great.
- Death’s sash or Trang’s belt give CBF, allowing for dual angelics.
- Treachery armor is great until engima/fortitude.
- Something like fleshripper can be good for the slow/deadly strike/crushing blow. Non-eth should be cheap. Then you would be working towards Plague in a decent damage claw with plus to blade fury/sentinel.

Thank you so much for that info, very helpful. It’s such a fun build. The 5 trap limitation and the fact that sentinel is a trap is a major bummer. I have Shako, Treachery, Bartucs claws, String of ears, Ravenfrost, and a dual leach ring, for ammy I’m going to use Atmas Scarab for the amp damage. For gloves I have lay of hands. I’m still working on decent boots.
Merc, I’m using the Act3 Enchant merc for attack rating that enchant gives and the Might merc seems to die all the time.
I was thinking of getting Shadow Master up to 17 but it might be a waste of skill points. I just love having a tank.
