Naaah i do not see sense for that.
Then what it would be for?
No lets keep it as it is.
Or maybe if points put into energy were incerasing stamina, that would be cool
stamina is a mechanic
a minor one, but a mechanic nonetheless
in early game there are moments when you need to manage it
there are also some enemies that drain stamina making you more vulnerable
it is making the game a little bit richer, just a bit
so, why remove it ? what’s the problem here, the actual issue ?
if you want to play action games there are quite a few very very good ones…
the arpg scenery is the opposite…

It’s fine hating stamina for what it is
But I’m tired of people that want to remove everything rather than fix & improve stuff
Stamina is easy to fix
- physical attacks require no mana, but consume stamina instead
- Mana is added to the skill cost only when a magical element is added
- Physical attacks are buffed by remaining stamina making recovery important
- Stamina potions now drain your life in exchange of their perk
Here is a demo:

isn’t hate a bit heavy of a word my friend for something so trivial ?
anyway, making physical attack drain stamina reminds me of the souls games… and if you think about it, such mechanics should also be affected by the weapon… it gets complicated… I am not sure that someone would want to complicate things esp with physical (and melee) in D2/R
too complex, its good for modding, not for D2R
just buff for FR/W and ED when Stamina is up or even make % Stamina = % FR/W and ED
It’s not complicated when it’s based on logic
Swing a 10lbs sword around for minutes… tell me what you feel is depleted, your mana or stamina
Whack something 100 times, tell me which blow hit the hardest and had the most energy, the first ones or the last ones?

Tell me who would have time to balande all of this, and better spend this time balancing skills and synergies, and melee, and rares, and crafts, and and and etc etc…
My fix is like less than 10min and would greatly improve Stamina

mrlamma showed some kind of interview between david brevik and chris wilson and i can’t help but hope these two team up together for an oldschool/indie-vibe arpg.
they’d probably rather just enjoy “retirement” but i’m here dreaming.
*more on the subject: stamina is never an issue for long in my case. like i dont mind it at all since it feels infinite pretty quick. (i do play hardcore and put a lot of points in vit early and often). most of the time im on sorc/paladin tbf and i guess that helps (teleport/vigor))

geez… he actually said that he hates the stamina bar
but they both commend on in it
and they conclude that early game mechanics are not bad…
