Botting is ruining the game

Most games, people bot to turn actual USD profits. I’d say this is the only game I’ve played where people bot because they legit just don’t want to play the grinding part of the game. They don’t want to kill Baal 1000 times and just throw away 99.9% of the items found. It’s not exciting when nearly any item drops after about 3 weeks.

If the gameplay is fun and rewarding, people will not feel like botting. Instead, they will feel like playing the game. Having the game end up being a 1:200,000 drop chance for a rune isn’t fun. Runes are basically the only thing of value after a few weeks. The game system is dumb. I find things like Occy and Shako and just give them away to people because they’re almost worthless after just a couple of weeks. Corrupting items in PD2 is legit. It added a way to add longevity to items, and made finding items actually fun, because they aren’t inherently worthless when they drop.

I’m not saying D2R needs to implement the exact same system, but there needs to be something done that makes finding a Cat’s Eye, Shako, Highlords, Occy, etc. actually fun, rewarding, and exciting after several weeks.

Lol they would just have a sorc bot Tele and tp for the other bots in the party.

Jahs and Bers are rare enough that even a small botting operation struggles to find a large quantity of them. Maybe guys running clintless bots with over 50 of them humming at once.

I’m inclined to think there’s still unpatched private dupe methods. These rmt sites had too many hrs and high end items on week 1. Not to mention duped items are still everywhere in legacy.

Neither will be fixed. They failed to do so in wow, their flagship.

You know, I couldn’t care less how much you spent time grinding for HRs. Nor, you swiped your card to obtain them. It’s all on you. Except rare gears.

The end of all endgears are rare items which botters can never obtain. Only the luckiest one gets them, or someone who buy off of them which is all pseudo-legitimate(p2p trade is not against tos).

If I get the best rare item in the game, I’d sell it for real money not 100 Bers. Bots have its limits to what they can obtain. Magic items, perhaps. But rares? That’s a time worth investing.

That’s why people who’ve been playing this game for 20 years on and off–even to this day–haven’t seen some GG rolls on certain weapon or jewelry despite botting existing ever since 1.09.

They know it exists virtually through single player hero edit, but finding them on bnet is like winning a lottery. Although, I’d rather win the real lottery in this case.

I’ve never seen a bot. I seriously doubt there’s a bot problem like people claim on here.

They exist. They just don’t currently do public games like they do in D2: LOD. I know there is a working maphack and at least one bot capable of running pindle, eldritch, shenk, nihlathak and trav.

I’m sure they exist, but who knows how common it is? Further, if they aren’t going to public games, how do people even know they’re out there?

Good question. I’d tell you how I know, but then they’d kill us both.

You can go to youtube and see videos of the bot makers showing off their stuff. It’s 100% out there already.

What type of idiots spam with those threads - THERE ARE LITERALLY NO BOTS!!!

I am playing D2 with jsp trading for the past few years and with bots HRs go typically for 20-30 fg tops after 3 months and now still Jah, Ber is around 1000 FG.

So screw you thin foil hat idiot that has no clue about the game and just wants to whine.

For example I have played roughly 300 hours so far and managed to get 15 HRs straight from Travincal farming!!!

LMAO, of course not because bots started to be a thing much later as they werent developed back then. It had nothing to do with teleport.

They can, and they did for years. Then they fired >1000 employees including nearly all of the GMs and botting and cheating has been out of control in all of their games ever since.

Oh, I agree completely, but even back at the end of 2006, bots started to become huge problem, even in WOW.

you are completely wrong on this one , just my 2 cent make your research before make this statement , bot use to be developed back them but have limited option

player make cow level for xp run , mean bot use to be alone , most bot farm item from npc for cruel weapon ect , pindleskin, only sorc make baal run alone , solo run ,use too not be easy in a 8 player game for a sorc , most sorc bot back them make solo game , so you dont really see them in game only the good one or the pindleskin farm bot

baal run use too dont give the best xp anyone go there , mean player have to play the game to level up . :v:

Meaning the programs were most likely tested during the beta and recalibrated on release. Some of the comments say this already exists in D2LoD, which means they just ported the script.

Additionally he says, “I don’t advise you to buy this bot. I’ve used this bot before(D2LOD) and it makes the game boring within a week. If you bot overnight the next morning there will be some Jah, Ber, Vex, Zod, Cham runes.”

Guess wat bots are the sokution to a problem

U just ignorant. U see who the real “purist” is now

Yup its an unpopular opinion but privately very common. Money shows the truth not what ppl say in public.

Blizzard isnt in charge of what happens in this game

I don’t know if you are serious, or trolling, but you are completely wrong.

You should have something against d2jsp. Its literally RMT with extra steps. People buy “Forum gold” with real money then trade that “forum gold” for in game items.

Aside from that, botting is cancer and I wish companies could get a handle on bots, gold sellers, and RMT in general. Pretty dumb that this has been an issue for literally 20 years in every game Ive ever played, not to mention hacks in FPS games…

people run what they think are bots and account is used as spam bots and the spam cycle continues

Look some of those that do have those runes doesn’t automatically mean they are botting. When a game like this one has been around as long as it has. Botters can get a whole lot of runes like that. Then they sell them to others in trade. So you could be seeing a trader that got them off of a botter. Or just an extremely lucky person. Or maybe even seeing the inventory of a player that got lucky and that is his high mule. Without proof of them actually botting you are just jumping to conclusions.
