I am consistently booted from games that I create if I am away for a short time ( a few minutes or less ). Is this happening to anyone else?
Also, if I have created a game and it has been up for quite a while, if i leave and join a new game briefly (seconds), the prior game automatically no longer exists.
I haven’t been booted for being idle much longer than a few minutes, however I have noticed the “permed” games don’t seem to last very long empty, although I’m honestly not sure if that is a change or the way D2R has always been. Obviously once permed a game in legacy will exist for quite a while.
Yeah I’ve definitely idled in games a lot to try to catch DClone and not had issues. I’ve also been on iffy wifi that seemed fine for most things, but DC’d D2R nearly immediately over and over again until I gave up, so as Jedi says, it’s pretty sensitive to packet loss. Odd that OPs issue is specifically idle and not playing though, unless his home network is doing some overly enthusiastic network traffic control?
See that is the one scenario where I see them booting for AFK is during dclone events and I’ve never been booted during. Because a known dclone event basically invites all 3 servers to spam games onto 1 server which would be a valid reason to kick afkers.
