Bluescreens, crashes and now low fps

I’ve been playing this game without any issues for the past few months until last week.
It started with 2 to 3 seconds video+audio ‘freezes’ throughout the game and on the 8th of May, I started having bluescreen crashes.
Those bluescreens would happen after being in town for 3-4 minutes and would state “Video TDR Failure” with the mention of a nvlddmkm.sys file.

I’ve formatted my PC and reinstalled the latest nvidia drivers and windows updates.
The game no longer crashes but now I can’t get more than 7 to 14 FPS, even on lowest settings.

  • I’ve tried other games and have no crashes or fps issues
  • I’ve ran Unigine Heaven benchmark and got steady 40+ fps and no overheating or crashes
  • I’ve tested my RAM and harddrive and found no issues
  • My hardware is not overclocked
  • Task Manager shows my GPU on 96% usage and <50ºC temps on D2R while my CPU is only 11% usage
  • I’ve tried all the ‘solutions’ online such as setting d2r.exe as high priority on task manager
  • I’ve formatted my pc and reinstalled all drivers and updates 3 times already, everthing is fine except D2R

Judging by other posts around here, it seems like it’s not just me crashing since Ladder season.
Your link to dxdiag instructions keeps timing out but i’ll leave some info here.
