Blizzard. Wake up!

I don’t know how they managed it, but if they had actually listened to the forum’s feedback, I don’t think the season would have turned out this badly. They slashed the *Curse* proc chance from 75% down to 5%… you could eat a whole loaf of bread before the demon actually casts the bound curse on enemies. They swapped out essential, useful auras like *Conviction* and *Might* for ones nobody uses… *Vigor*? What’s the point? Everyone uses *Enigma* for teleporting anyway. *Thorns*? Another garbage aura… You have to wait to get hit just for it to have any effect… Terror Zones last only 30 minutes… You barely finish warming up before the half-hour is already up… and then you’re left waiting hours for the top-tier zones to pop up again… The drop system has gotten even worse… *Sanders* items drop in droves, driving their price down to… practically nothing… And the list goes on… Blizzard, wake up!

i’m so glad they made those changes. what kind goofball thought 1 skill point should give max conviction, perma amp damage, and an unkillable tank. lol

They should’ve let all the auras become available at 20 hard points in bind demon.

maybe, but we only really lost conviction and blessed aim, and conviction would have made current Tainted build trivial. In trade they gave us a huge buff to bind demons stats.

I agree with the curse proc chance. The 5% is useless. The nerfs make the echoing strike warlock a garbage. But we talked about this already, and these nerfs are the cause of the bad season for sure

Unfortunately, there are people who like these changes but they didn’t realize how bad it is. Dropping down chances from 75% to 5% it’s a real crap…

1% on delirium procs all the time for me, 5% is plenty

and u people think 5% is too low??? why?
why does “bind demon” need to be stronger to Valkyrie, fire golem, shadow master, and grisly, combined?

this is diablo 2 people.
Rotw isn’t your “pay to win” MTX

go back to diablo 4 or diablo 3
and stop crying “your char” got nerfed to a more reasonable level

Some of the changes were good, some were bad. But yes, the forum pointed out the bad ones on PTR. Unfortunately a lot of people also whined about the fair changes, so it’s hard to tune things just based on feedback.

5% is probably too low for amp chance, should be like 25%. Conviction was nice for fire locks, though it could’ve scaled less than other auras (like 1 rank per 10 levels) so it wasn’t just free infinity. Other aura swaps are fine…fanat and conc work better with might merc, vigor is nice for leveling and mobility for caster (because many people will never get an enigma), thorns is meant for summon builds. ES changes are balanced, though apparently bind demon still has a similar overscaling of flat damage. They rightly kept eth for ES.

Mainly because you can’t just summon a demon on demand like you can with all four of those. Being a “hardcore” summon is a significant opportunity cost that should be rewarded

The better argument would be improving those other summons with more hard points, like bind does. I’d be ok with valk getting a mid level conc/fanat/conviction with 20 hard points.

Bind Demon, even after the nerf, is still much more powerful than any other minion.

So it is okay as it is, my opinion. And yes, I do play Lock too.

Honestly they took the worst feedback from both sides. It’s classic blizzard not knowing who to listen to and not knowing what they’re doing.

Ethereal 2H weapons equipped in 1H for melee? Sure let’s keep that!

An easy and powerful bind demon mechanic? Sure let’s make it completely useless now.

A super powerful magic build? Let’s not touch that one.

A super op ladder start fire build? Let’s nerf the end game version of it but leave the early powerful version untouched.

By removing the *Conviction* aura from the *Demon available aura’s, you are forced to equip *Infinity* on your mercenary—a runeword many cannot afford. Consequently, the Fire Warlock remains an option for the wealthy.

all the warlock nerfs are good, maybe not even enough.

this season is really bad with the shards, statues and herald drops.

Let’s add auras to grizzly and shadow master too, right?:sweat_smile::sweat_smile:

Lol, my demon spearwoman wipes whole screen on P8 in seconds. With items far from BiS.

It is faster than mosaic sin without conviction. Who may have thinking that in D2 will be stronger builds than mosaic.

Any other fire build faces the same problem. Why should the Warlock be treated differently?

Yeah frkin wake up and fix the ED bug … Ironic that you release jewels without fixing that darn bug already

that just highlights how badly other classes need buffs

Warlock actually still has it easier

Infinity is no longer required for viability with immunity breaking, with the proliferation of -res gear and renewed sunders

Warlock has a lot of -res they can work in even before infinity, with consume tainted and apoc having it baked in. So infinity is much more of a luxury than it is for, say, a spear zon or Nova sorc
