Agreed, one thing Blizzard does NOT need to do in the middle of a transitional period is rush out an expansion to the best ARPG ever made. Their credibility can’t take anymore hits.

I find it interesting how much volume MrLlamaSC caused with this small slip of the tongue.
If an expansion comes, I’ll probably buy it. Dollars somehow jump out of my wallet for anything Diablo related. If one doesn’t come, I’ll still be happy.

Well, not confirming it, but making everyone question why they’re closing them, which of course includes further speculation that whatever is true since it got their attention. Closing the thread and responding only adds fuel to the theory.

The way he worded it was carefully crafted “There is no Act VI” like “There is no Cow level”. He could have said there is no act 6 in development, right?

The poster who quoted Pez didn’t quote his entire reply. The second sentence said, “Let the speculation end.” But I guess ya’ll want to keep wishing on a star. That’s perfectly fine. Wish away.
I’m all for more content but clearly they have bigger fish to fry with 2.4 and QoL stuff that needs fixing. Keep on dreaming folks!

If anyone is wondering why the first thread was halted full-stop, it’s because it was a call out. So is this one. Nix the name from the title and adjust the OP so that it is discussing only the subject material and not referencing anyone in particular (which can be inferred instantly from the wording of the current OP). Blizzard has no issues with us discussing possibilities, but these two threads specifically result in a call out, which is what they don’t allow.
This. That was confirmation. If that wasn’t a clue then he would have said “There isn’t going to be an Act VI” or “There is currently no plans for an Act VI”. Instead he used a Diablo lore term where in D1 “there is no cow level”. It became such a meme that they actually did make a cow level in D2.
So yeah, that was confirmation.

Kind of strange that a simple and fun speculation thread would get locked and get a blue post when there’s millions, maybe even billions, of random poop-post threads littering this board with literal thugs and hustlers posting in them that don’t get locked or anything.

If true, damage is done. Unfortunately, cost of doing business with those that constantly stream content, have the ear of the devs, and is smack dab in the community. Not knocking streamers, but it is a risk of slipping up. I’m sort of on the end that if this is a thing, could be a D1 remake/remaster. It has been asked about many times, and as a stand alone title, really is not worth the effort; but as added content…
Could go either way, but with how Rob was on the dev stream for 2.4 when the question of end game content/bosses “…not right now, but wouldn’t that be neat?” and we are close to a year post reveal, with Blizzcon cancelled but knowledge that they would still be releasing game info and such, it could be a close reality. I called it that balance changes would be a thing, since it was a question during Blizzcon panel and Rob’s facial expression and tone with “We know the current live has…certain balance quirks…” and here is patch 2.4.
Won’t get my hopes up, but hope for the best for all parties.

“The Secret Cow Level is a lie!” We seen how that went back in the day! It actually became a thing in D2! This could be legit. Act 6 could be a thing, or at least the original extra 3 Quests added to Act 4 that got scrapped due to time constraint!
did he already catch flack for that? i hope not.
