Blizzard, I would really like a solution from you

I bought D2R on 05/16/2022 and to this day I haven’t been able to play. I have already addressed messages to Blizzard through another channel and have not received a response. Reading some posts (several actually) and running some tests on my own computer, I discovered a possible incompatibility between D2R and WARSAW software.

Every time I try to open D2R, it crashes within seconds, sometimes on the character select screen, sometimes on the loading screen, and sometimes in-game after a few minutes. It’s rare that I can stay online for more than 2 minutes without the game crashing.

Investigating Norton’s occurrence history, I found that Norton reports an “Unauthorized access blocked (Access Process Data)”, Status “Blocked”, Actor “TOPAZ OFD\WARSAW\CORE.EXE”.

Interestingly, both software (D2R and WARSAW) are configured to be supported by Norton. When I disable the “Smart Firewall”, I am able to enter the game and it does not crash. However, if I enable the “Smart Firewall”, the crashes happen again.

What scares me the most is that the entire community on this forum just thinks it’s normal to simply uninstall the WARSAW software to play D2R. Several players advise to uninstall the software and all topics become “abandoned” because theoretically they were resolved. Is this resolve?

I don’t think it’s wise to have to choose between one and the other. I need WARSAW software because I do internet banking. I don’t think it’s prudent to uninstall and install WARSAW every time I need to perform a transaction.

I would really like for Blizzard to investigate and give me a solution to this issue. Asking me to uninstall the WARSAW software does not solve the problem; asking me to disable the “Smart Firewall” every time I play D2R does not solve the problem either, it’s throwing dirt under the rug.

And to the community, I would like to ask for your support in getting this FIXED for real. The solution is not to uninstall a program necessary for your day to day routine.
Today is 09/28/2022 and so far I haven’t been able to play D2R.

I wanted to make sure you are aware we have forwarded feedback about Warsaw software to our developers to investigate in the past multiple times. This software does impact multiple games we made with random crashing. It is important to note that third-party conflicts often take a team effort to resolve. If the developers can easily fix it they may do so in a future update but if they can’t, it may be up to the developer behind warsaw software. This is why at this time the best possible resolution we can offer for players who want to play is to uninstall Warsaw software but also make sure to report these issues to the developers behind that software.
