twitter is so cringe. i don’t know why they post there. oh ya, because they are also, cringe.
I agree, it’d be nice if they communicated these things here… But lets look at some data which may shed some light on why they don’t…

Significantly more people use Twitter on a regular basis compared to people who use the official game forums.
Look at the view count on the recent DDoS announcement… 133k views in 2 hours. In comparison, the top view count for a thread in the D2:R forums is 258K views for the 2.3 patch notes, which was posted 502 days ago.
Poorly run company will never do anything that makes sense. Launcher, Individual games main game pages, twitter, facebook, forums, official sites should all be updated with info at the same time. They only have 2 brain cells so they assume everyone follows a gaming company that doesn’t really update twitter often enough to even bother following them.
